As I sat in Veeranshu's chair, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease wash over me. My mind was racing with thoughts of Devansh Raj and what his return could mean for us. Veeranshu handed me a towel, and I began to dry myself off, my eyes fixed on the floor.

"Mahii, talk to me," Veeranshu said, his voice soft and gentle. "What's going on in that head of yours?"

I looked up at him, my eyes meeting his. "I just can't believe it, Veeranshu. , and we would come out on top. Little did I know, the battle ahead would test our love, our strength, and our very souls.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart as I began to recount the terrifying encounter. "I was on my way to your company , Veeranshu. My car broke down, so I had to take a taxi. It was raining heavily, and the driver was going slowly. As I stepped out of the taxi, I realized that the traffic was at a standstill. With your company just a short walking distance away, I decided to take matters into my own hands and walk the rest of the way. I grabbed my bag and started walking, my heels clicking on the wet pavement.

As I approached the crossing, I noticed a young kid standing alone, crying uncontrollably. The lights were about to turn green, and I knew I had to act fast. Without hesitation, I rushed towards the kid, scooping him up in my arms just as the cars began to move. But as I turned to head back to the sidewalk, I felt a strong hand grab my arm, pulling me and the kid out of harm's way.

I spun around, expecting to see a Good Samaritan, but instead, I was met with a familiar, yet menacing face. Devansh Raj. My heart raced as I tried to process how he had appeared out of nowhere. His eyes gleamed with a sinister intensity, and his smile sent shivers down my spine.

As I stood there, still trying to process the sudden turn of events, Devansh Raj's words echoed in my mind. "I finally found you, and you're safe and sound." His voice was low and husky, sending shivers down my spine. But I was in no condition to respond, my mind racing with questions and fears.

Just then, a frantic mother appeared, relief written all over her face as she scooped up her crying child. "Thank you so much for saving my son!" she exclaimed, tears streaming down her face. But I barely registered her gratitude, my attention fixed on the man standing before me.

Devansh Raj. My dream. My nightmare. The one who had haunted my past and now stood before me, his piercing eyes gleaming with an intensity that left me breathless. His broad shoulders ----

Veeranshu's expression turned stern, his eyes narrowing slightly as I described Devansh Raj's chiseled features and broad shoulders. I could sense his disapproval, his possessiveness simmering just beneath the surface.

I chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. "Maybe it's just a coincidence, Veeranshu. After all, he didn't find me like you did. You're the one who's always been there for me, who's always protected me."

Veeranshu's expression softened slightly, his eyes warming with a gentle gaze ," Mahii. No one will ever hurt you while I'm around."

I smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude and love for this man who had always been my rock. But as I looked into his eyes, I couldn't shake the feeling that Devansh Raj's return was only the beginning of a much larger, more sinister plan. And I wondered if even Veeranshu's protection would be enough to keep me safe.
