"are you ready princess" Ser Devan asked as he stood in front of the throne room doors as she stood there taking a deep breathe

"yes thank you ser" Marcella said nodding her head before the doors opened making all the lords and ladies look at them Viserys standing on the steps right in front of the throne

"Make way for Princess Marcella" the knight announced loudly making them separate for the princess to walk through Marcella smiled softly slowly making her way to the Iron throne where her father was watching with pride

"My people we are gathered here today to witness the crowning of a new heir the first women that will sit on the Iron throne, and be queen in her own right you are here today to announce your support to my heir our realms darling Princess Marcella" Viserys announced to all in the room

"I Viserys Targaryen, First of his name, king of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the seven kingdoms and protector of the realm hereby name Marcella Targaryen princess of dragonstone and heir to the iron throne"

all the Lords and Ladies or those who held position above the common folk in the throne room bowed to the Kings new heir Princess Marcella Targaryen who was now the first female heir and would be the first women to sit on the Iron throne when the king passes she would inherit dragonstone and seven kingdoms

Marcella stood tall and proud she was officially the crowned heir and would be the next Targaryen to rule over the seven kingdoms

An hour later many lords and ladies had congratulated the princess and heir as she walked around and spoke with all she could before she approached her father and his lord hand

"Congratulations Princess" Otto told her making her smile even more "thank you My Lord Hand" Marcella said looking slightly nervous as she looked around noticing her sister and Alicent were not there and it did sting slightly but what stinged more was the lack of Daemons presence she was afraid he would hate her he took the crown and thrown from him

"what is it Marcella" Viserys asked stepping closer to her noticing the sad eyes she hid behind her smile

"Rhaenyra left" she said making him sigh he knew she wished for her sisters love and care but never received it no matter what she did

"and I fear daemon will hate me for taking the throne and crown from him I am angry with him for what he did but he I still love he is family" she stuttered out and Viserys caught what she wanted to say and thought back to Aemma words making him sigh

"Daemon loves you and he may be angry at this moment but he will learn to accept his loss of station" was all he said making her nod before smiling at him

"I see Laena I am going to go speak with her" She said making him smile before she practically ran to the young Velaryon who laughed and hugged her tightly

"Marcella" Laena said happy as she squeezed the princess "or should I say Princess and Heir" she teased making the Targaryen giggle

"please Laena your my best friend no need for titles" Marcella said squeezing the girls hand as they walked to the tables with the drinks

"here" Laena said sneakily handing her a drink "I should not be drinking and neither should you" Marcella whisperer yelled as she looked around

"oh live a little ella" was all Laena said as she shrugged and chugged the glass of strong dornish wine making Marcella smile and shake her head as she drank hers and then another

Authors note Laena is fourteen not twelve I wanted Marcella and Laena to be the same age and best friends
