(A/N): this chapter is a huge thank you for 10k readers. please note that it does not follow the plot!

The gentle breeze caressed the (h/c) tresses of the girl seated on a plush wooden chair, her gaze fixated on the auburn-haired man illuminated on her laptop screen. His melodious chuckle echoed through the room, wrapping around her like a sweet serenade.

"So, when are you returning from that soccer camp in Spain?" (Y/n) started.

As the spring break unfolded, Sae found himself torn between his promise to (Y/n) and a compelling opportunity. Despite his assurance to spend the break with (Y/n), an irresistible invitation to a prestigious soccer camp in Spain emerged, promising to elevate his skills and refine his technique.

Upon breaking the news to (Y/n), she greeted it with a mixture of emotions. While sadness lingered at the thought of their time together being postponed, she couldn't help but feel a swell of pride for Sae's opportunity to leap forward in his journey towards becoming a football prodigy.

"A week before break ends," Sae answered, a slight frown visible on (Y/n)'s lips. "Hey, I promise I'll spend time with you when I come back," Sae spoke as (Y/n) smiled.

"Ah, there's the pretty smile I fell in love with." Once she heard these words, (Y/n)'s face heated, but luckily for her, the veil of night descended upon her. "Tell me about camp." (Y/n) stated.

"It was kind of hard communicating with the others at first, but Spanish classes helped out. I'm more fluent now." He replied. "Say something in Spanish then." (Y/n) spoke.

"Siempre que estoy contigo, tengo una sonrisa en la cara." Sae replied. "What does that mean?" (Y/n) asked, "It's for me to know and you to find out," Sae answered.

"Okay, what did you say again, so I can translate it."

"Nope."

"But, how can I figure it out?"

"Sounds like a you problem."

"You're so annoying."

"Nah, you know you love me."

The laughter between them echoed, a testament to their shared joy, yet it abruptly ceased as noise from Sae's side interrupted their banter. A teammate beckoned for his attention, drawing a temporary curtain over their lighthearted moment.

(Y/n) found herself at a loss, unable to grasp a word of the rapid-fire Spanish conversation between the two soccer players, a language she seemed to suck at.

She should've focused during Spanish classes at school.

"Hey (Y/n)," Sae started. "I have to go practice, I'll talk to you later, yeah?" "Mhm, bye Sae." (Y/n) stated as he ended the call. The (h/c) haired girl sighed, she wanted to see him more than ever now.

Arriving at the Itoshi household to meet Rin, (Y/n) pressed the doorbell and patiently awaited the welcoming creak of the door opening. Unexpectedly, she felt a pair of hands slip around her waist, enveloping her in a warm embrace.

She recognized that familiar embrace anywhere.

"Sae!" "Hey, mi amor." (Y/n) turned around to be met with teal eyes. "Finished training early, so I came back." Sae grinned as the door opened revealing a yawning Rin.

"Sae?" "Hey, Rin." Sae waved. Then the three turned around upon hearing someone shout. "Sae! you're back! Why didn't you contact us about returning? I'm so happy you're back!" Sae's mother pinched the auburn-haired male's cheek.

"Mom, I only left for two weeks." Sae rolled his eyes playfully. (Y/n) laughed at the sight in front of her. "Oh, please, come inside you two!" Sae's mom pulled both Sae and (Y/n) inside.

"We were just about to have lunch, so make yourself comfortable."

"Mm.. the food is delicious, thank you." (Y/n) thanked as she took another bite.

As Sae reminisced about his experiences at camp, his parents showed great interest, while Rin casually inquired about Sae's training and other activities.

Once the meal concluded, Sae and (Y/n) settled onto the living room couch, Sae's arm draped comfortably around (Y/n)'s waist.

"I was thinking," Sae started. "What if we go somewhere together, tomorrow? Just you and me." "Sure, where?" (Y/n) asked. "That's for me to know and for you to find out," Sae stated.

"I'm gonna break up with you, I swear." (Y/n) stated as they both laughed.

The following day, as promised, Sae took (Y/n) out; however, she had a vague notion of where they'd go as he told her to wear a bathing suit.

"It's been too long since I went to the beach!" (Y/n) exclaimed as Sae locked the car.

"Yeah, knew you'd like it." Sae clasped (Y/n)'s hand, their fingers intertwining as they made their way towards the shore, where the sand met the endless expanse of the ocean.

"Sae! Put me the fuck down!" Sae had just lifted (Y/n) on his shoulder and ran towards the ocean as (Y/n) kept trying to kick free.

Suddenly, (Y/n) found herself engulfed by water, but as she surfaced, she exclaimed, "You fucking—Sae? Where'd you go?" Her words trailed off as she felt someone underneath her, lifting her onto their shoulder.

Sae's laughter resonated through the air, contagious and uplifting, prompting (Y/n) to join him in laughter, creating a harmonious symphony of joy.

After breaking free from Sae's grasp, she plunged beneath the surface, then resurfaced, her hair cascading freely as it escaped its confinement in the hair tie.

As she playfully splashed water, he reciprocated with a splash of his own. Suddenly, a massive wave crashed upon them, its force propelling them back to the shore. They collapsed onto the smooth, warm sand, catching their breath amidst fits of laughter.

"I'm hungry." (Y/n) spoke her thoughts. "I packed some snacks with us," Sae replied as the two headed to their spot.

As (Y/n) tore open a bag of chips, Sae draped a towel around her shoulders, a simple yet thoughtful gesture that caused the (h/c) haired girl to melt with appreciation.

"You know, I missed this, I missed us," Sae spoke. "I know, I missed you too. It's just that you're busy now, following your dreams and all. Not that I'm complaining! I love to see you follow your dreams, but it's making us spend less time with each other, and-"

"(Y/n), it's, okay." He placed his hand on hers. "Oh, I'm sorry." "Don't apologize, I love hearing you talk."

It was undeniable; Sae adored her angelic voice. Every time he heard it, his heart skipped a beat, captivated by its beauty and grace.

"I promise my dreams won't let us become apart, mi vida." Sae smiled.

(Y/n) gazed out at the vast expanse of the ocean. She had always been drawn to the beach, ever since she was a young girl.

"Thanks for taking me here." (Y/n) spoke. "It's nothing." Sae began. "Last one in the water has to pack up everything!" Sae exclaimed.

With that, the two dashed back into the water, abandoning their beach towels behind. Laughter echoed, filling the air as they embraced the joy of the moment.
