Chapter 15

"Your Grandmother, Anna lived with me and my brother. I had no idea she had her own family. my brother was elder to her by a couple of years making him 104 and Anna 94, I was 7 around that time. Anna was my brother's closest friend. However one day my brother went out for hunting and some human mercenaries burned the house we lived it. When my brother came back home he was devasted, seeing I was completely unharmed and that Anna was dead he thought the burning was my fault. I have pictures of your grandmother when she was our age but I never knew she had a granddaughter."

I was shocked with the story that he answered with, at first my mother only told me that Grandma was with her friends enjoying her life. I was 6 probably so I didn't even ask why. All I knew when my mother told me that Granma was dead was that she died due to humans.

A:N// BTW vampires are termed old at age 400 or so, Zeref's 116, Natsu's 19 meaning he's a toddler to Zeref. Lucy's 18. I didn't want to make a age gap cuz then I just get creeped out because of it.

Was this also why the war started? No, Natsu was a kid back then, the war started 4 years ago. Did my mom lie then, why didn't she tell me about Grandma. Did that mean there were more secrets in my family tree. I didn't know what to do, without looking into Natsu's eyes I closed the door of his room and rushed toward Levy. 

"Let's do it."

We had been talking about it since this week, a special experiment that can be used with my blood. Wendy and Levy rejected it and so did I till now. If my mom was hiding that big of a secret that means there is a lot she wouldn't have told me. 

"Are you sure? Lucy, we're not even sure if it'll be beneficial." Wendy said a little worried about me.

"Lu-chan we're not forcing you, so are you sure you wanna do this?"

I nodded, hoping my fear didn't show in my eyes.

---Time Skip---

We did, we got the breakthrough.

Levy and Wendy pushed me towards Natsu's room, when I realized how rudely I closed the door at Natsu's face.

I knocked on the door, but I heard no reply so I came inside with no hesitation. For some reason, in the past one week from being complete strangers I felt me and Natsu becoming closer friends. It will hurt me the day he realizes I had betrayed him.

Usually he is inside the room, but when I came in he wasn't there. I was about to leave when I suddenly saw a certain blue tabby cat.

"Here to steal Natsu again?"

"What no! I just came here to show him my research."

"Well he's off in the War Council. Hey Lushie didn't you bring me my fish."

I was confused at what he was asking but I suddenly reflected on his weird command.

"Yup, its with Mira she said she's adding some spices on it because the fish I brought was fresh."

"ARIGATO!!" He yelled and quickly flew out of the room. I looked away from the door and in just that second I heard a familiar voice,

"What research were you talking about?"

Natsu was leaning on the door with his eyebrows raised, waiting for my reply. It was like a moment of pride when I started telling me our work.

"Me, Wendy and Levy found out another cause of my blood."

"Which is?"

I pulled out a small dagger and handed it to him and brought out a small vial of red liguid.

"This is my blood, and that is a ordinary dagger. Now try break this wall with that small dagger. No required force, just try it."

Natsu looked suspicous at first but came along with my plan. He walked towards the wall behind his desk and looked gingerly at the dagger before thrusting it straight at the wall. 

Not even a scar was left.

"Is that what you wanted to show me?"

I smiled knowing this was the moment I might just make Natsu impressed. I slowly shaked my head and Natsu handed the dagger back to me, which then i spilled the vial of blood on the dagger.

"Now try."

Natsu did what he was told even though he looked at me with his onyx eyes a little in doubt. 

He went towards the wall and stared at the dagger and the wall once again. 

"C'mon. Do it."

With a final thrust, Natsu pushed the dagger towards the wall yet the same thing. Nothing happened.

"Luce, you didn't get much sleep today. Look, you guys and try this again although let me tell you it's impossi-"

A sudden ringing noise echoed behind Natsu and I smiled with my eyes sparkling like a star.

Natsu flipped his head behind to see the wall where the dagger once hit, had a huge hole, big enough for Happy to fly in and out.

"It's impossible eh?"

Unexpectedly Natsu started laughing and hugged me in his warm hands. 

"I'll always believe you now!"

He then left me there and like a child went screaming to Gajeel and Gray.

He'll always believe me now huh? It will be a misery for him when he realizes I had always ben lying to him.
