it was my first game not just in the crowd

but kate, ky, jades, cait and i are playing a pickup game at carver at 3

I open the backseat door to Gabbie's car and slide in next to Caitlin. Kate's in the passenger seat and Gabbie's driving.
"Kate." I say sternly.
"Please tell me this is a joke and Gabbie's not actually driving."
"Sorry Kenz, I lost rock paper scissors." Kate explains.
"So you're just risk our lives because you lost a children's game?"
"Name one time I risked your life while driving." Gabbie screams from behind the wheel.
"The first time you ran into a mailbox, the second and third time you ran into a mailbox, last week when you ran a red and had to swerve the cops, when you-"
"Okay that's enough for today thanks Mackenzie." Gabbie says cutting me off.
"Besides, you're a worse drive than me miss 'I almost ran over a five year old last month.'" Gabbie adds.
Kate whips her head around to look at me.
"Sorry excuse me?" She shouts.
"It looked like a dog." I say innocently.
"How does that make it better?" Caitlin laughs.
"We're not talking about me right now, we're talking about Gabbers."
"Oh god not the nicknames." Gabbie complains.
Caitlin and I start scream singing to "You Belong With Me" on the radio until we get to Carver.
"Kyles!" I scream once I see that Jada and Kylie are already here.
"I am just invisible today?" Jada jokes.
I jumps as much as I can on Jada to give her a hug.
"Why didn't you say hi to me like that huh?" Kate asks in an unserious tone.
Gabbie and Caitlin share a knowing look before laughing and saying hi to Kylie and Jada.
We all walk to our reserved gym space and I watch the girls strip off their sweatpants and slippers.
"Kenzie aren't you gonna change?" Kylie asks.
