Unity at Dawn (Maze Runner and TFP Crossover)

Welcome to the Glade

"We eat here, we sleep here, we grow our own food and build our own shelter whatever we need the box provides." Alby said and the boy looked over to the elevator realizing that's what they called the elevator.

"The box?" The boy asked with confusion.

"It's sent up once a month with fresh supplies and a new greenie, this month that's you. Congratulations, welcome to the glade." Alby said.

"Sent up by who? Who would put us here?" The boy asked.

"That we don't know." Alby said, just then a boy ran over with a strap over his shirt which turned out to be a holster for a machete. "Hey, you alright Alby?" The boy with the machete said with a British accent and Him and Alby shook hands.

"Greenbean, meet Newt. When I'm not around he's in charge." Alby said pointing to him.

"Well it's a good thing you're always around then." Newt said, then he turned his head to the boy.

"That was some dash you made earlier, you know for a second I thought you had the chops to be a runner until you face-planted." Newt said with a smile.

"Wait, runner?" The boy asked with confusion, but Newt didn't answer his question. "Hey, do me a favor and go find Chuck." Alby asked, Newt nodded and ran towards some other boys and Alby led Greenie towards a different direction.

"Look, I'm sorry to rush this but you came up a little late and there's a lot to do. We got something special planned tonight." Alby said then he and the Greenie walked towards a giant wooden tower and they both climbed up to the top and overlooked the Glade around them.

"This is all we got, we worked hard for it, if you respect this place we'll get along just fine." Alby said then the Greenie pointed towards the only part of the stone walls that opened up.

"What's out there?" The Greenie asked, Alby didn't answer but looked at him with a serious expression. "Look here we have three rules, first do your part, no time for any freeloaders. Second, never harm another Glader, none of this works unless we work together. Thirdly, Never go beyond those walls." Alby said.

Just then a chubby boy walked to the bottom of the tower and caught the two boys' attention. "Hey Alby." The chubby boy said waving, Alby waved back and smiled.

"Hey Chuck." Alby said and turned back to the Greenie. "That's Chuck, he'll be showing you around." Alby said, referring to the boy at the bottom of the tower.

A FEW MINUTES LATER

The Greenie and Chuck were both standing next a few hammocks under a roof made of sticks and as Chuck was explaining the Greenie cycle to the newest Greenie.

"It's the same story for all of us, we wake up in the box, Alby gives us the tour. Don't worry you're already doing better than I did, I clunked my pants three times before they got me out of the pit." Chuck said, he turned back towards the Greenie to see him walking towards the exit to the Glade.

He quickly ran after him to stop him from leaving. "Dude, what are you doing?" Chuck asked with concern. "I just wanna see." The Greenie said with curiosity. "You can look around all you want, but you better not go out there." Chuck said.

"Why not? What's through there?" The Greenie asked confused. "I don't know, all I know is we're not allowed to go."

Just then two boys, one who looked Asian and one who was blonde came through the exit into the glade, panting almost out of breath as if they had been running all day. They slowed down a bit and looked towards Chuck.

"Hey Chuck, new Greenie huh? How's it feel to be promoted?" The Blonde boy asked.

"It feels great Ben." Chuck said to Ben, smiling. "I thought no one was allowed to leave?" The Greenie asked. "I said we're not allowed to leave, they're different. They're runners, they know everything about the Maze." Chuck said not realizing he said Maze.
