They left the noodle bar after paying for their meals and rode a cab the rest of the way. The alpha and omega were both silent during the ride, Naruto was thinking about the incident in the men's room, when he was pinned by Sai. He had felt small and weak, like he was nothing.

"Sai always had that affect on me before. He easily made me feel insignificant, guess that hasn't changed one bit" he thinks.

He felt Shikamaru's hand intertwine with his. He looked down, and smiled at the sight of Shikamaru's hand covering his. He looked at his friend, who was looking at the window, expression bored, but his eyes held a different story, his eyes expressed anger.

"Don't tell Sasuke what happened" Naruto requested. Shikamaru looked at him in alarm. "What? Naruto that bastard is back in town and he tried to force himself on you, Sasuke needs to know" Shikamaru said frowning.

"I know but, I really don't wanna think about Sai anymore, and I don't want to deal with Sasuke's anger. You know how he gets" Naruto sighed. "Let's just leave it alone for now"

"Fine, I won't tell your boyfriend" Shikamaru said. Naruto smiled, grateful. "But you'll have to tell him still" Shikamaru continued. Naruto sighed. "Yeah I know"

When they arrived at Sasuke and Naruto's house, the blonde hurried inside and made a beeline for the bathroom, wanting to scrub his skin with Sasuke's products and clean off the stench of Sai's scent off of him before his Alpha gets home and smells him.

Shikamaru stayed in the living room and turned on the TV.

After bathing for half an hour, Naruto put on Sasuke's favorite shirt, which reached his thighs, and slipped on some loose shorts. After determining that he smelled like Sasuke and that Sai's scent was gone, Naruto started cooking dinner.

"Hey Shika! Are you staying over for dinner?" Naruto called from the kitchen.

"Why not, I don't feel like cooking or ordering anything anyway" Shikamaru responded.

Naruto rolled his eyes at his friend's laziness.

While he cooked, his mind strayed to Sai once more, this time a memory popped into his mind. The memory of their first meeting.

It was Naruto's 14th birthday. Sasuke, Itachi, Shisui and Mikoto were preparing a birthday party for him in the garden. Mikoto and Itachi were baking the cake, Sasuke and Shisui were decorating.

Feeling bored from just watching them, the blonde left and went outside for a walk. He kept a taser in his pocket, a gift from Sasuke, in case an unwanted Alpha made any undesired attempts on him. "Aim for the crotch" Sasuke had told him after handing him the taser.

Naruto passed stores, eyeing the items on display, really he wished he had the same amount of money Sasuke always gets for his allowance. He thought it was unfair that Sasuke recieved twenty thousand yen a week while Naruto only gets five hundred. But then again...Naruto was just someone they picked up from the streets.

"I shouldn't be complaining with what I have, they were kind enough to let me stay with them. I have everything I could ever need, free food, education, a roof over my head" Naruto thought.

Yet he couldn't help but want more. He wanted to be an official member of the Uchiha family, he wanted stability, he wanted to lose the fear of the thought the one day, they'll get tired of him and throw him out.

He knew the only way to maintain a stable standing within the Uchiha household was by marrying into the family, and...lucky for Naruto, Sasuke was already enamoured with him. He just need to stay in Sasuke's good graces and he won't have to worry about getting abandoned ever again.

"Stop thinking like this! Sasuke has done so much good for you, he would never abandon you" Naruto scolded himself

"Hello little omega"

He froze when he realized he had walked into an alley and was surrounded by three teenage Alphas.

Naruto gulped and kept his head down, he tried to walk pass them but one of them grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

"L-let go of me" Naruto stuttered, trying to hide his fear by acting brave.

"Oh look at him acting tough, he's pretty cute" the Alpha gripping his arm said with a grin.

The three Alphas crowded him, Naruto was backed into the wall, he hugged himself, tears gathered in his eyes and his heart palpitating with fear. He tried to take out the taser in his pocket but he found his arms unmoving.

"H-help!" Naruto shouted when one of the Alphas tugged at his jeans, the other one reached to lift his shirt.

Naruto's tears slid down his face and he shut his eyes waiting for the inevitable, when there was the sound of someone running, and a punch being thrown.

Naruto opened his eyes and he saw a young boy, an alpha his age or maybe older, throwing kicks and punches at the older Alphas.

He had black hair and had an uncanny similarity to Sasuke.

The young Alpha locked eyes with him, and Naruto felt a wave of relief and warmness.

The boy grabbed Naruto's hand and together they ran out of the alley. Naruto looked back and saw the alphas lying face down on the floor, he couldn't help but laugh.

Later, the two found themselves at the playground, still holding each other's hands. "Thanks for saving me" Naruto said, smiling at his savior. The boy simply nodded at him.

"I'm Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki"

The dark haired boy smiled charmingly at him, causing Naruto to blush. "Sai"
