"oh." i say and try to sound surprised.
"yeah i mean they weren't together but still."

"but he's not really that upset about it. weirdly enough." she shrugs.

"how are you?" i ask aiden as i grab a glass of water.

"that's good."
"does this mean that..."
"what?" i ask.
"do we go back to...?"
"oh, no i don't- i don't think so."
"okay, maybe that's for the best."
"yeah, it's for the best." i nod.
we keep eye contact for a few seconds but i break it and leave the kitchen.

aiden: do you wanna go to the beach? it's night so no one will be there

"but i mean is there anyone who shows extra interest?" i ask.
"not really." he shrugs.
i get a text and sigh.
however that quickly changes into panic.
"aiden. it's a picture of us. just now."
