FLASHBACK CONTINUES
BHARGAVI'S POV
Today is the day when all the major wedding functions are starting. The day before yesterday was the tilak, the first ritual in a Marwari wedding. The palace was decorated with flowers and lights everywhere. His parents gifted me with the auspicious hereditary family bangles, choli, and many gifts, along with lifelong blessings. My maasa and babasa gave him one of our ancestral swords, some gifts, and applied the tilak when the priest said

"Iss rasam se var vaa vadhu ke maata pita sabhi parivarjan apni nayi bahu vaa damaad ko swikaar karte hai"
(This ritual signifies that the parents of the bride and groom accept their new daughter-in-law and son in law in the family gladly)

"Humne toh 10 saal pehle hi apna dil aapko de kar swikaar liya tha rajkumari"
(I had accepted you as my princess by giving you my heart ten years ago.)

He lightly whispered in my ear, and I turned my head towards him. He was already staring in my direction with a soft smile, and I shyly smiled back with a blushing red face. I turned my head towards the other side when his mother approached me, patted my head, and said,

"Rajasa aaj se aapki bhargavi humari bhi putri hai"
(From today, Bhargavi is also our daughter.")

I bent down to touch her feet, and she blessed me, saying,

'Our prince is very lucky to have you as his queen, Bhargavi.'

I was so happy to hear that; all my thoughts and worries about whether people there would accept me or not vanished. Everyone was so happy after the ritual; his parents also accepted us, and I was glad that they accepted me. Everything was perfectly done, and the day went well.
The thoughts of our little escape at night are still vivid in my mind. That night in the garden, we spent a lot of time together, but as they say, time flies faster with loved ones. Love... do I really love him? That whole night, I was thinking if it's really love or just attachment and attraction, but I think it's more than that. But how should I know if it's love only? I have never been in love with anyone like this before. What if it doesn't turn out well? But we are getting married; we waited for each other, so what can go wrong? I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I didn't realize Bhabhisa was continuously calling me

Bhargavi bhargavi kaha hai aap abhi soo rahi hai kya?
(Where are you, Bhargavi? Are you still sleeping?)

She said as she's standing outside

Nahi nahi bhabhisa andar aa jaiye
(No, no, sister-in-law, please come inside.)

I said as she entered my chamber and approached me.

"What happened, Bhargavi? Is everything alright? I've been calling you for so long, but you weren't responding," she asked with a concerned tone.

"Yes, bhabhisa, everything is fine. I'm sorry, I was just lost in thought. Nothing important,"

I said, trying to conceal my thoughts and tension from her. I know she can read me perfectly well and understands that I'm worried about something. I know my bhabhisa.

"Bhargavi," she said sternly.

"Bhabhisa," I whined like a child.

"What happened?" she asked, while gently caressing my cheeks.
