Katherine's POV:

I woke up with a pounding in my head that didn't let me see clearly. I felt lost, I couldn't identify my surroundings. Everything was new to me. I relaxed when I saw Angelina reading a book in the corner of the room. "Angelina." I whispered. She looked up from the book she was reading. "Hey, sleeping beauty! You're finally awake!" She walked over to me and sat on the edge of the bed. "What happened?" I asked, sitting up. Angelina handed me a cup of water which I drank in a second as if I hadn't had water for a week.

"You kicked Patricia's butt and then you fainted! But Mr.Echeverry brought you here; you've slept the entire night like a baby." Angelina replied. "How about you?" I asked. She had a purple bruise on the left side of her eye. "I'm alright, this will heal in no time, and thanks for standing up for me. Nobody has ever done that." She replied. I gave her a weak smile. "I didn't know I could do that. I did take some Kung Fu classes but that was when I was in elementary school." I said taking the sheets off of me.

"Really? It was still cool, good thing we didn't have any important classes, I went to class and everyone wanted to know how you were, they think you're cool which is awesome! You're my friend, not theirs BUAHAHA! They must be so jealous!" Angelina said trying to imitate the Dracula laugh but failed completely.

"Yes, you have me. So, what will we do now?" I stood up and went to a nearby sink to wash my face. I felt fresh. "Well, first, we need you to copy everything we have learned in this year so far; thankfully, we have only been in classes for about two weeks so you can catch up really fast. And then, we have all the afternoon to go shopping. Headmaster Elizabeth has already given me the money needed for all your things." I nodded.

Soon afterward, Angelina and I headed to our room and once we were there, I noticed that there were not only two beds, which I failed to see the first time I was there, but also that it had a giant window covered in blue curtains. It would definitely let the warmth of the sun in if only those curtains weren't there... I sigh. I took a quick bath and after deciding what subject to start with, I started to copy the notes and thankfully, Angelina explained everything in a great way. It was very easy to catch up.

She explained that we have a lot of classes since I needed about 14 notebooks: Science, Vampire history, Physics, Math, English, French, Latin, Philosophy, Medicine, Geography, Chemistry, Economics, Vampire Anatomy, and Technology. And a lot more, these were only the ones where Angelina had taken notes. We also had hunting, martial arts, sports etc. Needless to say, I was going to be studying a lot more than in my human school.

*** Fast-Forward***

Two hours later, my hand was about to fall off from all the writing. Angelina, like a soldier in shiny armor saving the day, was nice enough to put my name on the four projects we had due on Monday. I promise her I would do the next four. She just chuckled.

"Okay, now that you're finished, let's go shopping! "

And with no more obstacles, we headed to the entrance of the school.

We got a carriage and went to the closest town from school. For me, it meant going to the only town I needed to go for the next I don't know how many years. Yes, I'm lazy. Even vampirism didn't take that away.

I couldn't believe I was in this part of the world. It was unbelievable. It was so majestic. It took me to those Old-England history books I read in my spare time. It was beautiful. I thought it was going to be awful just like they had told me in school, but it was prettier than what I had imagined. Even prettier than the shops on the human side of the world. They would be so envious, they would climb the wall just to get here.

We entered the first boutique we encountered, the vampire school uniform boutique. Wow! Talk about creativity. "This is the shop where we buy our uniforms, which change yearly. " Angelina began her three-story explanation. "I want to explain to you some things beforehand. In some groups, you will see some people with my type of uniform and others with yours, or others with another type of uniform. That's because we tend to see classes with our group. And other classes we see with other students but from our same year. " Angelina explained. We started looking around while she kept speaking.
