A/N:I do not condone the actions of these two.

It was after BFDI episode 2 that Announcer realised he'd need citizenship if he was to stay in Goiky without getting deported. The invisible government of the land could find him at any time, and so he needed to get a passport as soon as possible. He didn't see any options other than marriage that he could pull off, since he didn't know any good forgers and the invisible government was notoriously unbribable.

He was well aware of all the issues that marrying one of the competing contestants would have, so his choice was obvious. And lucky for him, she was also the one with the worst chances of rejoining, if he ever planned on having a rejoin. Truly, this was perfect.

Now he just needed to get her to marry him.

The TLC opened for the second time ever to reveal Flower, lying by a wall in a fetal position, eyes closed. She seemed irritated by the bright sunlight, her first light in days.

Announcer wasted no time on formalities. He was no romantic, and doubted she'd be much of one either, so he chose these words – Flower, I have a proposal for you. –

She got up and shaded her eyes with her hand. She really didn't want to do anything for her captor, but she knew he'd have to be offering her something if he reasonably expected to get her to accept. She stared at him as intimidatingly as she could manage. – Well, tell me. –

Without even a polite pause before speaking, he answered – Flower, will you marry me? –

She stared at him in surprise. – What? – What was he thinking? She barely even knew him, and she had never taken any liking to him. Nor to anyone else for that matter, but that's besides the point. This idiot was not worthy of her, nor of interest to her. But he obviously knew that, right? So he had to be offering something in exchange.

And if he wasn't saying what, then that meant it was time to ask. – And what are you offering in exchange, huh? –

Great! The conversation was going just like he'd expected it to go! He was right at the goalpost! Now he just needed to... – I'll let you out of the TLC. –

She gasped. – A rejoin? For me? –

Oh no. She was overexpecting. He'd have to cushion this blow somehow if he wanted to save the deal..... – Not a rejoin, just freedom from the TLC. –

She looked furious. – Of course. I never get to have anything nice. I don't even deserve to be in this cage –

–Chamber.– he corrected

She acted as if she hadn't been cut off. – in the first place. And I deserve Dream Island. Grrrr! –

As she fumed, he was glad to finally have conversational space. He needed this marriage for the passport, and if he'd have to stoop to flattery, so be it. – Look, I get you. You deserved Dream Island but the voters took it from you. I'm on your side here. Now marry me and I'll let you out the TLC. –

She couldn't smell dishonesty out of a robot, but she didn't smell honesty either. And giving the appearance of doubt could help her negotiate something better from this deal, right? – And if I refuse? –

The answer was quick. – I lock you in the TLC again. –

She looked at the sun, then at the walls of the TLC. Welp, if such was the cost..... –  Yes. –

He took her out of the TLC. She was free. But not for long. – I've done my part of the deal. Now.–

He took her by the hand, to her surprise. – Flower, will you marry me? –

She pretended to think about it for a second, then cockily answered. – Yes. –

He pulled her forwards and her face lightly hit his speaker. Ugh, she hadn't gotten the cue. He decided to whisper. – Kiss me. –

She removed the look of surprise from her face and kissed him as genuinely as she could act. She was surprised herself at how well it went. Sure, he was cold, and lipless, but kissing anything, with at least the vague idea of a concious mind that treats that like it's face, it somehow comforted her. She didn't even notice he'd let go of her arms with his metal ones and that she'd grabbed him by the sides. She was giving this kiss her all. It, she didn't get it. It, it felt real. Like someone actually cared about her. And like she could kiss him. And she was doing so! It was absurd! Everyone sucked! She knew that. And she was better than everyone. Yet her she was, kissing Announcery. And liking it. And liking....... him. She didn't get it. The guy was just using her for some legal chicanery, but she, oh, it was too much. She was confused by herself, and joyous at her newfound ideals, and heartbroken at her reality, and not really paying attention to the fact she was beginning to cry or that she was kissing Announcer for half a minute already. Cupid had shot through her outer shell, and she needed to deal with her feelings.

Announcer's speaker shook under her lips as he spoke. – Alright, that's enough, Flower. –

When she didn't stop, he gently at first, and then more firmly pushed her away.

She finally came back to her senses, or at least some of them. –Announcery, I, I love you. –

He gave her as stern a look as a faceless being can. –Flower, we've done everything we need to do. The marriage is valid, I've got citizenship. –

She looked at him wistfully. – I'm being serious Announcery. I love you! Please be with me! –

Oh no, was she being serious? – Flower, this is the end of our agreement. Now leave. –

Why was he so cruel? – Please! I promise, I'll change! I'll do what you want, just please, be with me! –

Flower fell on her knees. Announcer had no idea about what had changed in her, and had no facial mimicry with which to accidentally let her know just how much it had surprised him. But he still knew he was dealing with Flower. Whatever she was doing now, she would almost certainly be sure to start trouble if he outright denied her pleas. Maybe he could negotiate a not-too-bad settlement? He knew he'd have to be firm, though. – Sheesh, ok. I'll spend an hour every other evening with you. –

Her eyes gleamed and she embraced him in a hug. – Oh thank you! –

He just wanted this over with, so he pushed her off himself. – I'll, sigh, see you tonight. 'til then you can wait in this house I have here. – He pointed to house nearby.

He began going away, and she waved him off. – I'll see you then, sweetie. – She felt strangely good saying those words.

After a day spent inside and alone, Flower was pleasantly surprised to see Announcer opening the door. – You're her! – She jumped on him and hugged him.

Anyways, the hour was spent largely on Announcer putting up with Flower's monologue about herself, getting chastised for having missed a detail in the quiz she gave him afterwards to make sure he was listening, and having to weasel his way out of answering certain important questions regarding himself when she asked him.

So much for complete honesty and not keeping anything from each other.  – she thought a bit bitterly. Oh well, she'd use it against him for something later on.
