Ashley

I hitch my bag up higher on my shoulder and slam the door of my beaten up car shut behind me as I gaze upon the two story brick building in awe. The building looks old, maybe the late nineteenth century but well preserved, and it is beautiful.

The bricks are dark brown with white bricks thrown in to make a beautiful pattern and to accent the corners and windows. Above the entrance is a large marble sign with 'Silver Lake' carved into it. They don't make buildings like this nowadays. And it's obvious the architect thought of every detail when this building was designed.

I really hope the inside is just as fascinating as the outside!

With a smile on my face I make my way towards the grand staircase leading up to the large double doors. Halfway there the doors open and a man steps through. His handsome looks are just as timeless as this building, and seeing them together really enhances the beauty of them both.

His black hair is stylishly fixed into a modern but at the same time timeless style with short on the sides and longer at the top. Tanned and flawless skin that stretches over a straight nose, high cheekbones and a strong square jaw, covered in dark and neatly trimmed scruff. He is dressed in a pair of black slacks and a white button up that does nothing to hide the fit and muscled body beneath.

But it is his eyes that enchants me the most and when they land on me his steps falter to a stop and I do the same. They are the most blue eyes I have ever seen and look almost luminescent as they travel down my body. A shiver of excitement raises the hair on my arms and neck when his eyes show appreciation of what they see.

"Good day, miss. Are you here for the interview?" His voice is as deep as the ocean and smooth like old whiskey. Or as I imagen whiskey to be from descriptions of others, I have never tried it myself. Never had the wish to do so, but his voice ignites a small curiosity to investigate the saying. He clears his throat and raises a thick dark eyebrow at me in amused questioning and I realize I have taken an embarrassingly long time to answer.

"Um, yeah. Yes I am." I stutter and feel my cheeks burn in embarrassment. I clear my throat as I resume my ascending of the stairs, closer and closer to where this god of a man is standing. "Are you one of the faculty?" He smiles broadly, showing off a row of straight white teeth and I swear my heart stops for a second.

"No. I am the alph, eh, I mean the, eh, mayor of this town." His little stumble of words is the only thing that shows that he is as human as me despite his perfect form. It makes me grin back at him. He chuckles lightly while giving me a sheepish smile. "I have just been here on a visit. I make sure to visit the school in town on a regular basis to form good relationships with the children and youths."

Oh heavens! Now I'm practically swooning over this delicious and gorgeous and obviously caring man!

"That's nice." I manage to breathe out.

"Would you like me to show you to the principal's office?" He turns halfway and opens the door to the school.

"That would be very nice of you, thanks. My name is Ashley by the way. Ashley Simmons." I reach out my hand in greeting and he clasps it in his very large, protective and engulfing hand. Another shiver works its way from my hand and down my spine all the way to my toes and I am positive that my eyes roll back in their sockets. If he notices it he does a good job at hiding the fact.

"Colton Bleckbourne, mayor of this beautiful town." His hold on my hand stays for a moment too long, but it's not as if I'm complaining or doing anything to break free. His touch is very G rated, but feels much more like a definite NC-17 inside my body. When he finally lets go, my hand feels cold and my chest hollow. I cradle my hand against my chest with my other hand while glancing down at his.
