It occurred to me a while after entering my novel in the Best Art category of a contest that my assigned judge might be a reader uncomfortable with reading a book with explicit sexual passages in it...
Everything created for Instagram is square because I use a desktop computer. I don't even own a cell phone, let alone know how to use a smartphone. I know, I'm weird.
These are things I post to Instagram that promote Ancilla as a novel that people can actually buy (so far, I've only sold ten copies, and I'm trying to not be disheartened by that - I realize that Ancilla is very, very niche as far as books go, because let's face it, most people are not looking for a mishmash of dark romantic academia, BDSM erotica and a lot of it featuring edge play at that, weird vampires that aren't immortal and don't even have fangs, esoteric/mystical meditations, 80's and 90's nostalgia, literary and philosophical discussion, and loving descriptions of tabletop roleplay that show my personal fondness for Jolly Blackburn's Knights of the Dinner Table. Most people who read romance want happy endings. Most people who read erotica want smut. If I was a liqueur, I'd be absinthe or Mallort).
I started posting very basic book quotes on Instagram in January - I don't see those quotes as worth displaying. This page starts in early February, 2024, when my designs started getting a little more artistic.
Many of these first designs are reworks of my Wattpad collages.
