You were out of breath as you bowed to your trainer. You had just finished a fighting demonstration and you hoped it came across well. When you straightened, you had to resist the urge to look towards the stands. You were wondering if one man in particular was impressed.

"You did well," Your trainer said in a low voice as he handed you a towel. You were in a sports bra and leggings, and sweat was running down your exposed skin. You couldn't tell if the tingling sensation was from that or all of the eyes in the stands watching your demonstration. Combat training was one of your specialties, so you knew you performed well, you just...

You casually glanced up to the stands, scanning the people present as you dabbed at your sweat. There were groups of men with stoic faces in formal attire looking for bodyguards, women in luxurious uniforms scouting for high end brothels, and then there were groups like his with slightly stranger requests.

He was easy to spot with his bright orange hair and big as the sun grin. He was grinning at you now and you felt relief. You couldn't help the smile that quirked into place. He got up from his seat and gestured towards your left, towards the hall just outside of the arena, then he started making his way out of the stands.

You weren't allowed to interact with the bidders outside of official meetings, but that hadn't stopped you yet. You were going to let a full five minutes pass after his exit, you weren't even sure if five minutes was long enough, but it was all you could bear.

As you waited, you dabbed at your sweat some more and watched the next demonstration. You knew this witch, she could influence metal. She was a weapon's expert and used her magic to strengthen her blows and increase her agility. You were better at hand to hand combat and covert attacks. As the clash of metal on metal filled the auditorium, you glanced in the direction of the closed wooden doors leading to the hallway.

"I'm going to go get ready for dinner," You told your trainer. He was distracted by the current demonstration and nodded his acknowledgment. As you left the auditorium, you dropped your towel in a hamper.

You let the door swing closed behind you and looked up and down the deserted hall, searching for your orange haired bidder. To the left was the dining hall and further down the guest rooms and to the right were more demonstration rooms. Those rooms were used for magic demonstrations or demonstrations of a more sultry nature.

"Y/N!" Your name filtered down the hall as a furtive secret. The young man with orange hair poked his head out of one of those rooms before disappearing back inside. He wouldn't win any stealth awards with hair like that, but he could rule the world with that smile. You took your time walking down the hall and to the room he was hiding in, it gave you a sliver of satisfaction to make him wait, build his anticipation.

The door was only half closed and the room inside was dark, you couldn't see him at first. The narrow entryway prevented you from seeing the entire room. There were maroon curtains shielding the window and casting a dull purple light on everything in the room. Two rows of chairs, about ten chairs in each row were angled towards a large bed. You could only see the edge of the bed, but as you ventured further into the room, the bed and the rest of the room came into view.
