He didn't ghost John at all, actually he was texting him 24/7, and sometimes when John texted him back late at night, he'd get an instant reply. The life of someone unemployed. John wished he had that.
He'd also been sending him pictures of Johns bike, just because he thought he'd miss his beauty.
How thoughtful!
In reality, John wasn't really worried about his bike right now, it needed new everything, and John was okay with riding the Ducati around. It could pull bitches, even though he didn't really want them. There was only one guy on his mind, the one blowing up his phone every two minutes.
When Smii7y asked him early on a Wednesday morning if he could replace his old exhaust system with a new full titanium one, John was quick to agree.
Smii7y only sent back '👍'.
Asshole.
The weekend finally rolled around and John was more then excited to meet up with Smii7y, Eli, and Tyler. An odd mix, usually Eli didn't hang around with Tyler, but it was a nice change.
Smii7y said they should just ride around and get something to eat after, or go see the super car meetup not far. John was hungry as fuck, so he wouldn't pass down a nice place to eat. Wait... was Smit just not going to eat if he didn't want to show his face? Whatever, he'd figure out what the fuck was up later.
It didn't take long for John to find Smit at a gas station. All three of the guys were hanging around one pump.
"Need a top up?" Smii7y giggles when he was close enough to here him.
"Hell yeah, make room boys!" John laughed as he waddled his way up to them, close enough so that the nozzle could reach to his bike.
"You look hot as hell on that Ducati, John." Smit, of course, commented.
"That's not a lie, this thing runs hotter than shit." John complained, messing with the car lock because it didn't want to cooperate.
"Yo, he ain't lying tho, you do look sick as fuck." Eli piped in, and Tyler rolled his bike forward to tap Johns back tire.
"Fucker! I felt that." John said as he looked back at a shrugging Tyler.
"Don't look at me." Tyler chuckled.
"I know that was you." John stared into Tyler's soul.
"Jesus, your scaring me."
"You better be scared of Jesus." Johns comment sent Smii7y and Eli into a fit of laughter. Was it really that funny?
"Jesus could insta snap you outta this mothafuckin universe." John continued.
"What are you? Christian?" Tyler huffed.
"Nah, he speaking facts." Eli said between laughs.
John finished filling his bike, and waited for Smit to buy a Gatorade, before they continued on their journey of being disturbances in peaceful, noiseless neighbourhoods that needed to spice things up.
Smii7y did so many wheelies, no one even bothered counting, Tyler did one, and John did two. Turns out that Eli was a squid, and only raced. He had never brought his front tire up besides speed wheelies. He only watched from afar, somehow amazed and tired at the same time.
When Smit rolled a stoppie up to a stop sign in a less fortunate hood, he noticed a group of 6 kids on the sidewalk. None of them looked older then 14, and when the youngest one saw Smit's gleaming white bike, he had the widest smile John had ever seen.
Smit motioned him over, and he dropped his scooter and ran up to Smit's bike, his eyes shining with glee.
"Wanna rev it, kid?" Smit said as he planted his feet, and waddled over a bit to the side, and closer to the kid. John stayed where he was, waiting to see what Eli, and Tyler wanted to do, before also pulling up beside Smit.
The kid nodded profusely at the offer, and by now, Smit had got the 5 other kids attention as well.
"Just do this." Smit guided, watching the kid closely as he reached up and grabbed the throttle, pulling it back towards Smit. This bike wasn't near as loud as the H2R, but the kid was not used to it, and flinched a little. His smile remained, if not grew, and now all the other kids were curious.
"You like motorcycles?" Smit asked the first kid.
"Yeah! I've always wanted a dirtbike but my mom says I'll hurt myself." The kid said, probably just happy to see any type of bike. "I think your motorcycle is super cool though!"
"Well, getting hurt is part of the sport, unfortunately." Smii7y continued, "and thank you!"
"Can I rev your bike?" Asked a different tiny voice, but this time directed to John.
"Sure, kiddo." John responded, snapping out of his daze while staring at Smit.
He leaned away from the throttle, and directed the kid on what to do. The kid was a bit scared when he tried it once, and had full confidence the second time, letting everyone know that the Ducati was there.
A few of the other kids had went to Eli, and Tyler as well. Eli was way to comfortable with letting the kids near his bike to the point that one was riding it, instead of him.
John guessed none of them accounted for if they got the cops called on them. They'd have to scram the fuck outta there and fast.
As a last second thought, John looked at the plate on the Ducati, only to realize it had none.
'Oh shit-.'
To be fair, it was Smit's extra (1/1000 other extras) so he probably just didn't plate it.
John noticed Eli had his plate tucked away under the bike, and Tyler had the same, but Smit's folding plate frame was down. (They all replaced government regulated extender, so they were already doing something illegal in the first place.)
John kicked the stand down on his bike, walked two steps up to Smit, tapped him on the shoulder, and lifted the frame so it was hidden efficiently.
Smit gave him a curt nod, and continued talking with the kids.
Such a good role model.

- Fun Fact! -
Tucker doesn't show up until later in the story, so the duo Eli and Tucker, is now Eli and Tyler for awhile.
- Another Fun Fact! -
This book made me really good at researching on the fly! Did you know Waluigi is from Sorrento Italy, and was kicked out of his family with Wario because the two were trouble makers, then they were homeless!
