As the morning sunlight filtered through the classroom windows, casting a golden glow over the familiar surroundings, I was sitting on the middle bench with Ash.

"Lily, was it? Hmmm," I muttered, my curiosity piqued

"What about her?" Ash inquired, breaking the silence with a raised eyebrow.

"What class is she in?" I asked, trying to mask the sudden interest in my voice.

"What do you mean, jerk? She's in our class," Ash replied, amusement evident in his tone.

"WHAT?" My voice came out louder than intended, drawing stares from our classmates. Chuckling nervously, I muttered an apology, cheeks burning with embarrassment.

Excusing myself to the washroom, I needed a moment to collect my thoughts. Lily, the girl who had caught my eye, was in my class. It was an unexpected twist that left me flustered.

Upon returning to the classroom, guess what...I noticed Lily seated parallel to my bench, her presence commanding attention. Morb and Akeno, his girlfriend, had also arrived during my absence, settling in behind Ash and me.

I got introduced to Akeno, Morb and her have been dating from 2 years and are really close. She is short with long blonde hairs with crimson red eyes, she's part japnese and her voice is cute.

As Mr. Black's arrival was imminent and chatter filled the room, I found myself unable to tear my gaze away from Lily, admiring her beauty in the soft glow of the morning light.

As I looked upon her, I realized that beauty is not just something you see, but something you feel. And in that moment, I felt it all. Caught in the act, I realized Lily had caught me staring. A soft giggle escaped her lips, and she waved at me with a gentle smile. Heat rushed to my cheeks, betraying my embarrassment as I sheepishly returned her wave, averting my gaze to the ground.

Once Mr. Black commenced the lesson on redox reactions, I delved into the subject, a topic I excelled at. However, while solving numericals, my focus waned as Lily accidentally knocked her pouch off her desk, scattering her stationery.

Several pens rolled near my desk, and I hesitated, unsure whether to intervene. But Lily's request for assistance spurred me into action.

"Hey, can you pass those pens, please?" she asked, As her voice washed over me, it was as if time stood still. In that moment, every noise faded into insignificance, leaving only the melody of her words echoing in my mind. It was a sound I would carry with me forever, a symphony of beauty that left me utterly captivated.

Without meeting her gaze, I retrieved the pens and handed them to her, my cheeks flushing as she thanked me.

"Same to you," I mumbled awkwardly, cursing myself inwardly for the clumsy response.

Once I was back to my seat, ash was already shrugging his head looking disappointed. At that point, my mind was filled with a thousand questions, "Did I mess up?, How can I reply with same to you to thankyou? What the hell is wrong with me?"

As the chemistry lecture ended, Morb and Akeno mentioned they had errands to run and would meet Ash and me directly at the cafeteria. Walking towards the exit, the noise of the classroom gradually faded into the background. Suddenly, amidst the chatter, a voice called out.

"Hieee, waittt," Lily's gentle voice pierced through the noise, causing my heart to skip a beat. I recognized her voice immediately but hesitated to turn around, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness building within me. Beside me, Ash glanced back and spotted Lily approaching, her presence casting a radiant glow amidst the crowd.

Finally, Lily reached us, her smile illuminating the room as she introduced herself and expressed gratitude towards me for my earlier assistance. I struggled to find my voice as we exchanged introductions, my heart pounding with anticipation.

When Lily asked if she could join us at the cafeteria, my mind raced with a whirlwind of emotions. I was rendered speechless, overwhelmed by her presence, but before I could respond, Ash eagerly welcomed her along, his enthusiasm palpable.

Arriving at the bustling cafeteria, we collected our trays and made our way to the table where Morb and Akeno were already seated. I couldn't help but steal glances at Lily, her presence captivating me in ways I couldn't quite comprehend.

As we settled in and engaged in conversation, I found myself drawn to Lily's every word and gesture. Her warmth and charm enveloped the table, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and ease.

"It's nice to finally meet you, Akeno," Lily remarked with a smile. "I've heard so much about you!"

Akeno blushed at the compliment, a shy smile playing on her lips. "Likewise, Lily. Morb has told me a lot about you too."

Morb interjected with a chuckle, "Yeah, Lily and I go way back. We're practically inseparable."

Lily nodded in agreement, confirming their close friendship. "That's right! Morb's been my rock through thick and thin."

Suddenly, Lily's friends approached, diverting her attention towards student council election-related tasks. I felt a pang of regret as she excused herself, leaving me yearning for more time in her presence.

Amidst the teasing from Ash and Akeno about my obvious feelings for Lily, Morb offered his support, claiming to know Lily better than anyone else. I blushed furiously, attempting to downplay my emotions, but my friends' laughter echoed around me, mingling with the tumultuous thoughts swirling in my mind.

In between those laughs, I couldn't shake the profound impact of Lily's presence. As I reflected on her departure, a single question echoed in my mind. Is this what they call love at first sight?
