"I hate to inform you, but your little lover is dead," I say. I hear the other girl gasp. She has a little dog in her arms. But she drops him and runs to give Juliana, I think that's her name, a hug.

However, one of the boys grabs her arm. Smart, if he hadn't she would have had to run right past me.

"I know, I felt it in my heart. I have something for you."

"You do?" I ask, trying to keep the surprise out of my voice.

"Yes, well at least if you're the fire witch." She grabs a letter from her pocket and holds it out to me. I make no move to grab it.

"Her name is Nora," Juliana states.

At that, I wrench the letter from her, and tear it open. There are two letters inside, I grab one of them and tear it open.

If you have any of the kindness I taught you, give them a place to stay for a little while. I know you have plenty of room in your castle.

-Nora the healing Witch/Cook.

"Sienna, bind their hands and cover their eyes."

"Why?" One of the boys asks, he must be Juliana's brother.

"Because the secret of Havran is sacred." Esta snaps. "Now turn around."

"Even if you cover your eyes I still know where we're going," Juliana says. She won't stop surprising me, will she?

"How might that be?"

"You think we just showed up this close to it by accident, witchling."

Ingrid steps closer to her. "Watch your tone, girl."

"Or what, you'll kill me? Believe me, this group has been knocking on the devil's door for a while."

I smirk. I kind of am starting to like her.

"No," Sienna says. "Because it's our leader who will kill you."

"Believe me, if you wanted us dead you have done it already."

"True, but still watch your tone, girl," Esta says, smirking.

"Quit calling me girl, or I will call you witchlings. I am a woman."

"You still haven't told me how you got this close, Juliana." I say.

"How do you know my name?" she asks in amazement.

"You think you get this far into a witch kingdom without us knowing? Now answer my question."

"Nora gave me a magical map that only I can see."

A witch map. Interesting. "Fine," I say as Esta and Lucia bind the boys' hands and cover their eyes. Leading the group, we make our way back to the palace.
