I walk around the corner and see two of the guards holding Cole by the arms and forcing him to kneel in the dirt.
"Remember, Wesley, patience," I hear Micheal say in my ear.
"Lord Cassian, Duke Worthington, when did you get in? I hope not long, the servant just informed me a few minutes ago," I say, trying to turn the attention away from Cole and to give me time to collect my anger.
"You must be Wesley. I have heard a lot about you." Wrong side to choose, Duke Worthington.
"I hope it's all good things."
"Wesley, is it not true that the Captain and you are good friends?" Lord Cassian sneers.
That man really knew how to get on my nerves. I clench my jaw and count in my head. I look at Lord Cassian, to find him smirking. "It's true we are friends. And it's also true that he is a very honorable man. Captain West would never hurt my sister. Is that not right, Captain?" I let some of my anger show. He gulps. Yeah, he knows he is going to have to deal with me later.
"It's correct, Lord Wesley. I wouldn't hurt your sister. I was only holding her that way because she had just recently fainted and she is still a bit wobbly on her feet."
"See father, Captain West is a good man. Did he have to hold her the way he was, probably not. I say he gets whipped and then stripped of his duties until he can prove himself again. What do you say, Father? Lord Cassian? Duke?"
"I say, well said, Wesley," I whip around. Commander West, Cole's father, is standing next to Micheal. I never thought I would ever be this glad to see someone. "Commander, welcome," I say grinning from ear to ear. I look back at my father to find him staring at the commander with an open mouth.
"Thank you, Wesley. It seems you have better manners than most," he says, giving my father a pointed look.
"Commander West, you are most welcome. I'm sorry you just took us by surprise," my father says trying to get rid of the shock on his face. "Well, since you are here, the captain is your son. Deal with him as you like."
"I think I will do exactly as Lord Wesley said."
"Well, he's your son."
"Wesley, Cole, walk me to my room."
"Yes sir."
No one says anything on the way there. When we get to the Commander's door he turns around on us. "I don't care what you do to him, Wesley. But I suggest you two talk first."
"Yes sir."
"Oh and Wesley, well done out there. I'm proud of you. Cole, I want you to come and explain yourself to me in the morning. And I expect the truth."
"Yes, Father."
"Thank you, sir."
"Goodnight boys, and figure it out."
We both walk to my room. Once we're inside I turn around and lock the door.
"Listen, Wesley, I'm sorry. It just looked like your sister was going to murder someone. So I grabbed her and told her to calm down."
I spin around on him and punch him in the nose. I walk over to the fire and stare into it. "I forgive you. Cole. Just how about you look around before you do it again? Or how about you don't do it at all?"
"I won't," he says, holding his nose.
Just then there is a knock on my door. "Who is it?"
"Anya and Juliana," Juliana states.
I unlock the door and let them in. Beorn comes running in after them yipping with excitement.
"Oh yeah, and Beorn," she adds.
Anya walks to Cole, who has his back on us.
"Really, Wesley. Did you have to punch him?"
"Yes."
Anya and Juliana share a look, roll their eyes, and say in unison, "Boys!"
I look at Cole with a questioning look, but he just shrugs.
"Wesley, we need to leave tonight. We can't wait any longer. William needs us."
"I thought you said Will was dead
