Oh, well I wasn't expecting that question. But if it will help her get her mind off of Will's death. Will's dead! "How did this happen?"
"Someone told me." She whispers.
"Who?" I say, leaping off the bed. Planning on ripping their head off with my bare hands.
"I can't tell you," She exclaims, tears filling her eyes.
"Why?" I ask, cupping her face, forcing her to look at me.
"Because I just can't."
"Juliana," I say, trying to rein in my temper. "Don't lie to—"
"No, Wesley, this is my choice. Okay?" She says, her tone ending the discussion.
"Fine, But I'm all ears when you want to talk about it." I say while walking toward the door.
"Wesley, wait."
I open the door, "Get some rest, Juliana." I shut the door. And when I look up there is Cole waiting for me. "What do you want?" I turn to walk to my room. Cole doesn't say anything just follows me. I was just about to turn down the hall that leads to my room when someone shouted my name.
"Lord Wesley, wait," My head snaps up at the sound of Anya's voice. When I look at Cole's face he raises an eyebrow.
I quickly turn around to look at her and bow my head. "Yes, Lady Anya?"
She curtsies, grabs my arm, and drags me to my room.
"Anya, what's wrong?" Cole asks, following us.
All three of us go into my room. Anya whips around and looks at the guards. "If anyone asks for the young lord, tell them he is busy, got it?" If looks could kill, I'm pretty sure my guards would be dead.
"Y-y-yess, m-m-my L-l-lady," the guard stammers.
"Good!" She says and slams the door in their faces. She turns around on Cole and I. Cole actually gulps. "I want to know why Julia is walking down the hall right now!"
"What do you mean?" I ask casually, trying to keep my temper in check and pretend like nothing is wrong. I walk over to my desk, pick up a folder, and flip through it. It goes really quiet. When I turn around Cole's eyebrow is raised and Anya's mouth is wide open in shock.
"What do you mean, saying that? Wesley, she just had a panic attack!" Anya all but shouts.
Cole looks at her. "Anya calm down, alright? I'm sure Wesley has a good explanation for acting this way." He looks over at me.
"Thank you, Cole, but Julia is perfectly fine," I snap the last few words.
"Oh my, she didn't tell you, did she?" Anya says. "That's why you're mad. You know what, I can't believe you. Your sister is going through a hard time and all you are worried about is getting out of here. I can't believe you. Aagh, men are the worst!" she shouts marching to the door.
"Anya!" I exclaim.
"What?!" She asks, trying to keep her voice down.
"What do you know about Will's death?" I ask, my patience is gone.
"If she isn't going to tell you neither am I." She practically rips up my door and marches out, then slams my door. I sigh and sit down on my chair.
"Well, that was entertaining," Cole remarks.
I had completely forgotten he was in here. "Maybe for you," I snap.
He puts his hands up in surrender. "Sorry," he says, then his voice goes soft. "So Will's dead?"
"Yeah." I look up. Cole is near the door. "Where are you going?"
"To make sure Lady Juliana is okay and to make sure Anya doesn't kill anyone." He softly shuts the door behind him. If it was any other time, I would have laughed at the Anya joke.
