Maxine was locked in a vault with Boyd, a girl called Cora, a girl called Mels, and two young children called Jamie and Poppy after being captured by the Alpha pack Three months ago.
Maxine lost the babies two weeks ago and has blood-stained leggings and she is holding two deceased babies in her arms. Maxine knew they were going to be born dead as they stopped moving three weeks after being locked in the vault.
Jamie and Poppy lay with her to provide her comfort and support as Mels gave Maxine something to wrap Murphy and Natasha up in." I'm sorry for your loss, Maxine, no one deserves to lose their children," Mels says softly.
"I shouldn't have gone out that day otherwise my babies would still be here," Maxine cries softly as she puts her head on her babies.
"Don't cry, not your fault, bad people did this," Poppy says sadly as she holds Maxine." It's not your fault Max, you didn't ask to be thrown in here," Boyd says softly." They are bad people. You did nothing wrong," Jamie says softly.
Maxine looks up at Jamie," You talk?" Maxine asked softly." I do but I chose not to," Jamie says quietly as he leans into Maxine's side with Poppy. Suddenly the vault door opened and they all saw the Alpha pack standing there," Time for you to go home Maxine," Deucalion spoke.
"If I leave then Mels, Jamie, and Poppy leave too," Maxine says standing up." Why should they?" Kali smirks." Because they aren't in anyone's pack their deaths wouldn't hurt Derek's or anyone but mine, I lost my babies because of you so have the decency to let them go," Maxine says firmly.
"Fine just them three leave, now move," Deucalion says." Mels, pick Poppy up and Jamie, stay with Mels," Maxine says softly. They all leave the vault and head towards Derek's loft where Issac, Jace, Derek, and Peter are all standing together.
The Alpha pack made their way upstairs and Derek stood with Jace, Peter, and Isaac when they appeared." Where's my mate?!" Jace growls." On the contrary, she's right here," Deucalion smirks. Kali drags Maxine holding two babies and three kids," Mels, take yourself and the kids to Isaac over there," Maxine says softly.
Mels heads over with Poppy and Jamie," Go upstairs with them," Derek tells Issac who nods and takes the trio upstairs." Now we've released three supernatural kids to your care but I'm afraid Maxine has outlived her usefulness," Deucalion smirks.
Jace shakes in anger and they see his eyes change from orange to red and he phases into a wolf."Ah! I wouldn't!" Kali smirks as puts a clawed hand on Maxine's throat.
Jace stops in his tracks and backs up," Let me hand my children over to their family so they can hold them," Maxine bargains." Fine be quick," Deucalion spoke firmly.
Maxine made her way to Jace, Derek, and Peter. Maxine faced Derek and Peter since Jace was in wolf form." Bury me with my children, they died when I got locked away, so please bury me with my children and look after Mels, Jamie, and Poppy they are good kids," Maxine shakes as she cries.
"Goodbye Jace, I love you," Maxine says softly." Goodbye, Murphy and Natasha, Mommy is on her way now, I'm coming home to you," Maxine says softly kissing her babies goodbye before walking back to the Alpha pack.
"Do it Kali, go on! I've got nothing left! Kill me!" Maxine shouts in grief and sorrow. Kali raised her clawed hands as Derek and Isaac shouted." No! Don't! Not her! Don't hurt her or kill her!" They shouted but it was too late as Kali slashed Maxine's throat and torso and all hell broke loose as Peter, Jace, Derek, and Isaac all went for the Alpha pack who fought back bar Deucalion.
They manage to get the Alpha pack running and Jace shifts back to human form," It's okay Jace, D-don't worry about me anymore okay?" Maxine says weakly." Take care of Mels, Jamie and Poppy for me and Bury our son and daughter with me," Maxine says softly.
"No! I can't do this! not without you! I can't be an alpha without you!" Jace cries. Maxine was lying in Jace's arms," Wait you're an Alpha now bite her!" Peter says coming to Jace's side." But what if it doesn't take?" Jace asked." It will, so bite her and save her, you lost your kids but don't lose your mate, son," Peter says.
Jace looks at Maxine and he shifts and gently grabs Maxine's arm and bites down harshly in the hopes he turns her." Take her to your room and stay with her we'll bury Murphy and Natasha for you both," Derek says softly." Bury them with her mom and dad," Jace says sadly." They deserve to be with them not on their own," Jace says sadly as he carries Maxine to his room.
Jamie, Mels and Poppy appear in the room," Who is who?" Jace asked." I'm Mels, this is Jamie and the small one is Poppy," Mels says."Come it's alright," Jace says softly and the trio come into the room.
Poppy climbs onto the bed and lays with Maxine as Jamie does whilst Mels sits on the floor with Isaac who now appears to wait for Maxine to wake up. Derek and Peter both buried Natasha and Murphy with Rhea and James Ripley.
The gravestone now reads here lies Rhea Ripley and James Ripley, dad, Mom and now grandparents. They put Murphy Pietro Hale and Natasha Emery Hale, two angels gone too soon from the earth.
