🪞The Full Moon,first Scan🪞

Maxine had her first scan at the hospital tomorrow morning to see how far gone she was and the genders of her and Jace's babies. Jace got everything needed for the first scan and made sure Maxine was comfortable.

Derek, Jace, and Scott and they were discussing Jackson."I'm saying we need a new plan, because next time, one of us is going to be too hurt to heal," Derek says. Derek takes a seat."Ugh, I get it."Scott says." We can't save Jackson," Scott says.

"We can't seem to kill him, " Derek grumbled."I've seen a lot of things, Scott."Derek tells Scott."I've never seen anything like this. Every new moon's just gonna make him stronger." Derek looks down.

But how do we stop him?" Scott asks. Derek shrugs."I don't know. I don't even know if we can." Derek responds."Maybe we should just let the Argents handle it." Scott says." No!" Jace says slapping him.

"I'm the one who turned him. It's my fault." Derek says sadly."Yeah, but you didn't turn him into this," Scott said. Derek hangs his head.

"This happened because of something in his past, right?" Scott says."That's a legend in a book. It's not that simple." Derek says

"What do you mean? What aren't you telling me?" Scott asks "Why do you think I'm always keeping something from you?" Derek questions."Because you always are keeping something from me!" Scott shouts.

"Well, maybe I do it to protect you," Derek."Doesn't being part of your pack mean no more secrets?" Scott asks.

"Go home, Scott. Sleep. Heal. Make sure your friends are safe. Cause the full moon's coming, and with the way things are going, I've got a feeling it's gonna be a rough one," Derek says.

Maxine and Jace headed off to the hospital to have their first scan of their babies. They arrive at the maternity clinic to confirm how long Maxine is.

"Hi, I'm Maxine Ripley I booked an appointment this morning for my ultrasound appointment?" I said with a soft smile. "Ah yes, Miss Ripley. We need you to do a urine test before you go in. Your partner can wait here." The nurse smiles.

Jace nods and waits in the waiting room whilst Maxine does the usual testing. She gave the sample to the nurse and sat with Jace. Jace held Maxine close."Maxine Ripley?" They hear a midwife call her.

The nurse asked the basic questions and got the dates. Maxine went for her first scan with Jace by her side. He was being a gentleman and we went to the ultrasound room and had the scan.

Maxine was officially five months along with twins one boy and one girl."We got this baby mama," Jace whispers." I hope so as we don't have much of a choice," Maxine chuckles.

Jace and Maxine went for some ice cream and milkshakes before helping Derek with Erica, Boyd and Issac.

Maxine stood with Jace as Derek pulled a trunk over and opened it revealing chains. Isaac runs his hand over the triskele that's on top of the chest.

"What is that?" Isaac asked. Before Derek could answer Boyd beats him to it."It's a triskele," Boyd says. Everyone turns and faces him.

"The spirals mean different things-- past, present future; mother, father, child." Boyd continues."Do you know what it means to me?" Derek asks."Alpha, Beta, Omega?" Boyd answers.

"That's right." Derek says impressed with his answer."It's a spiral-- it reminds us that we can all rise to one or fall to another. Betas can become Alphas, but Alphas can also fall to Betas or even Omegas." Derek explains.

"Like Scott?" Isaac states."Scott with us," Derek says."Really? Then where is he now?" Isaac mocks."He's looking for Jackson," Derek tells him.

"Don't worry, he's not gonna have it easy tonight, either." Derek says."None of us will. There's a price you pay for this kind of power. You get the ability to heal, but tonight, you're gonna want to kill anything you can find." Derek tells them

"Good thing I had my period last week, then," Erica says making everyone uncomfortable. Maxine chuckles at Erica. Derek picks up a chain with nails sticking inward that look incredibly uncomfortable."Well, this one's for you," Derek tells her.

Jace had Maxine behind him as he and Derek chained Boyd up along. Jace begins to chain Issac to the metal bars as Maxine chained Erica up." This is starting to hurt!" Erica groans." I know but look at me Erica," Maxine says making Erica look.

"You're going to need to find someone who keeps you human, someone who makes you happy and loved," Maxine says softly." That's the thing I don't have anything or anyone," Erica groans

"Then be your anchor, be amazing by yourself, and keep that locked inside," Maxine says firmly. Erica pauses and listens and her claws retract, her teeth go back to human and her face returned to human."That's it, you did it," Maxing smiles.

At the same time, Jace was chaining Issac up who was struggling with the shift." How do you control it?" Isaac asked."You find something or something to bind you to your humanity," Jace says firmly.

"What's it for you?" Isaac asked. Jace thinks about Maxine," Maxine and my children," Jace says.

Issac felt his shift coming and he heard Maxine talking with Erica before and he thought about Maxine and how she was kind to him and how she stood up for him and calmed down." You found your anchor well done," Jace says softly.

"Maxine, she was there for me for my first shifts and she's been like my sister figure ever since," Isaac softly nods."She's pretty amazing and I love her," Jace admits softly.

All three betas were in control and Derek exited the train cart." I'm gonna take her on a walk, are you going to be okay with them alone?" Jace asked with a smile. Derek nods in response," Go and enjoy your lives I got this," Derek says softly smiling at them.

Jace and Maxine head out for a moonlit walk together unaware of the dangers ahead for them.
