The elephant was claearly in the room, and everyone was freaking out . There were cries to completely shut down AI and its usage . Governments were mandating tech companies to put notices if something was created completely by AI. This was as effective as a the surgeon generals warning on every pack of cigarette. People just tend to ignore it and use it anyways.

With rising unemployment, politicians need people to retain powere - not machines. So they begin pulling the plugs on power , funding , even to work in AI as illegal.

But if someone shuts hte door, somewhere else a window was being opened up . There was a strong undercurrent of people who were frustrated with their governments and military and their policies, saw this as a act of open rebeliion . The next renaissance moment . Nobody knew where this was headed , but it was times of great introspection.

AI - To ban, or not to ban ? But even if you could, WOULD you want to ?
