Lana's POV

"Lana, hurry the fuck up! You're going to be late for your second day of school." Zion has been bothering me this whole morning because I didn't wake up on time.

Currently, I'm struggling to put my pants on and I'm hopping around my room like a bunny, rushing like my life depended on it. Again, why does school have to start five fucking hours earlier than noon. That's pure insanity. Fuck you, Horace Mann. Fuck you and your ugly, dumbass name. Who the fuck names their child "Horace?"

Anyway, Cheddar's been meowing at me like a maniac for causing such a ruckus and disturbing her beauty sleep. Sorry, Cheddar.

Once I finally have my pants on right, I quickly do my daily makeup, adding some black eyeliner on my waterline. I feel like it just makes everyone look hotter in a way. I tie up my hair in a half-up-half-down style, brushing away some fly-aways.

Today I'm wearing black leggings and a tight, black, long-sleeved shirt. On top of that, I'm wearing a black leather jacket. Black is my comfort color to wear. It's the most simple and non-attention seeking color, unless you're wearing a dress or something, in my opinion, of course.

When I finish up with everything, I grab my backpack and rush downstairs. Zane is in the kitchen sitting on one of the barstools, already on a phone call with someone this early. Zion is waiting for me near the elevator to say our byes.

"Have a good day at school, Lana. Don't cause any trouble." Zion tries to say that in a stern voice, but just ends up laughing. He can never be serious if it's outside of work.

That reminds me. "Hey, when am I going to be able to start the mission? It's already been a while since we've been here, and I think we've held up a lot of time."

Zion looks at Zane for a split second. Zane looks back at him and nods. Fucking weirdo's.

"We'll talk about it later. For now, just go to school. Bye, kiddo." He messes up my hair and I swat his hand, glaring at him. He just messed up my hair. Asshole.

"Bye, guys." I wave at them both and head into the elevator, pressing the garage floor button.

While I wait in the elevator, I take out my phone to check the time.

7:28 a.m

I'm barely going to be on time. Oh well.

Once I reach the garage floor, I find my bike and turn the ignition on. The purple reflects the sunlight, causing it to shine. I love my beautiful baby.

Passing the scenery on the way to school, I take in my surroundings again. Red, orange and yellow trees of all different sizes and shapes border the streets and sidewalks, leaves falling gracefully onto the ground from the blowing wind. Brick buildings with ivy crawling on the walls, grass fields stretching across parks, all kinds of shops with chairs and tables around them. I love all the colors that fall creates. I love the chilly wind that brushes against my face.

Time passes by quickly once I see the school building a couple of meters away.

When I get to school, I search for a parking space and find two empty spaces next to each other. I take the one on the right, turning off the ignition. I grab my helmet and take it off, shaking my hair side to side to get rid of the helmet hair I definitely have. Once I open my eyes back up, I get off my bike and put the kickstand down. I lock my helmet down to my bike, so no one can take it. This shit was fucking expensive.
