Sun rays peeked through the window and the whole room illuminated with a bright light. The girl laying on the bed stirred in her sleep and turned away from the window getting annoyed due to the direct light hitting on her face. Still her annoyance didn't lessen even a bit because of light still hitting on her eyelids which made her rosy cheeks to puff out in annoyance and she pulled the duvet over her face and smiled in satisfaction.

But soon the duvet was snatched away from her making her frown. Opening one of her eyes she peeked at the intruder would snatched her duvet away who was none other than her mother, Rooh. Her eyes widened and she immediately turned to the other side knowing that now she will wake her up no matter what. She closed her sea blue eyes which she got from her father and started acting like she was sleeping.

"Oh papa's princess, I know you are wide awake now. So get up and move to the bathroom right now!" Rooh ordered making her voice a little strict making Vanessa bit her tongue.

She didn't want to wake up this soon but she can't also tell this to her mother, so she kept acting like she is sleeping making Rooh to shake her head at her daughter's acting. Rooh went closer to her making Vanessa to tightly close her eyes, not wanting to get caught but Rooh understood her not-so-oscar-winning acting.

"Okay fine if you don't want to wake up, but then who will eat the doughnuts specially prepared by Mikhail?" Rooh said like she was talking to her self making the latter's mouth water hearing her favourite food's name and also made by her favourite person.

Vanessa jerked up from the bed and stood straight on the floor making Rooh startled at her sudden action but in return Vanessa grinned at her lazily. Rooh smirked internally knowing that her daughter can't resists doughnuts no matter what.

"G-g-good morning m-mama." Vanessa stuttered out in her morning voice.

"Good morning papa's princess, Roomi." Rooh said giving her a lip tight smile because she was jealous of the father and daughter duo.

"W-w-where is p-papa?" Vanessa asked her curiously thinking her father is preparing her favourite doughnuts for her.

"For God's sake girl, I was the one who kept you in my womb for nine months and I was the only one who gave you birth after feeling so much pain and here you are always looking for your father first." Rooh gave her a whole lecture making Vanessa to come closer to her and hug her.

"Y-y-you know n-na mama I-I love you a lot b-but I love papa a little b-bit more than y-you." Vanessa said to her mother showing her the love she does to her father with her thumb and forefinger joining and leaving a tiny bit space between them.

"I know what tricks you play with me." Rooh said eyeing her making Vanessa to pout to her cutely.

"O-o-ohoo mama you k-know na b-bhai loves you a-alot so i-it's m-my responsibility t-to love papa a lot or he will feel l-left out and less loved." Vanessa explained to her mother making her eyes softened at her daughter's words.

Now Rooh understood the selfless behavior of her daughter and why she always gives more attention to her father than her. The cold war between Liam and Mikhail always leaves Mikhail sad and gloomy and their daughter can't see him like that so she always does everything in her power to cheer him up. They both want this cold war to stop, father and son to become one but Liam is not ready for it which makes the daughter and mother to feel helpless.

"Sorry I didn't know that you think this much about your father." Rooh said a little sadly making Vanessa to come out of her embrace and smile at her beaming.

"I-I-I have to think a-about my whole family or else who would t-t-think about them? Poor them." Vanessa asked her making Rooh to chuckle at her innocence.
