Vanessa and Cristina were driving back to the mansion while Mikhail went somehow else for some important work. Vanessa was silently looking out of the window while the file was still clutched against her chest. She didn't know how to react to this sudden news.
She didn't know what will happen to her, will she die, will she go bald due to therapies, will she start looking pale or what not? Her lips started quivering let alone thinking about it while Cristina was taking glances at her time to time.
"Don't think about too much, Vanessa." Cristina said sighing sadly to which Vanessa shook her head in denial.
"I-I-I'm not but I don't want to l-leave you all this soon." she again repeated the same words.
"You won't baby. Everything will be fine, we all are here for you." Cristina tried to calm her down but her mind is having turmoil of emotions.
She slowly nodded and again looked out of the window sniffling slowly. After few minutes of silence suddenly Vanessa saw a tattoo shop in front of her and she didn't know why she wanted to go inside it so she spoke hurriedly.
"S-S-Stop Cristi." she said and immediately Cristina pressed the break which made the car to jerk a little forward and then it stopped.
"What happened Vanessa? Is it paining somewhere? Are you fine?" Cristina asked her in concern oblivious of the reason she asked her to make her stop the car.
"I-I-I'm fine Cristi. I want t-to go there." she said pointing at the tattoo shop in front of them. Cristina followed the trails of her finger and her gaze stopped at the tattoo shop.
"A tattoo shop? Why do you want to do there, Vanessa?" Cristina asked her with a frown.
"T-T-This tattoo shop is here for years. Papa o-once told me his incident with mama and I admire them a-a lot. I want to get a t-tattoo too." she said pouting her lips and no one could say that she was crying just a few minutes ago.
"But Vanessa isn't it painful? Are you sure you can handle it?" Cristina asked her bewildered.
"I-I-I don't know but I wanted to get a tattoo but that time I-I was too young so papa denied but now I-I'm a big girl and I-I will handle it." she said puffing her cheeks out pulling a brave act but inside she was freaking out but didn't want to show it to Cristina or she will not let her get one.
"Are you sure Vanessa? Let me call mama or Liam and take their permission first." Cristina said taking her phone out but Vanessa panicked and held her arm stopping her.
"N-N-No if you ask mama and bhai they will straightly deny because t-they wouldn't like to see me in pain. Please don't t-tell them. Pwetty pwease." Vanessa pleaded her and last played her last card of baby voice with doe eyes hopefully looking at Cristina.
Cristina was no stone hearted to not to melt at Vanessa's cute face so she nodded at her in approval. Vanessa jumped happily at her place and kissed Cristina's cheek.
"Y-Y-You are so sweet. Thank you Cristi." she said to Cristina but she shook her head in denial.
"Oh no no no, it's not enough. If someone will scold me to permit you then you are saving me." she said faking her sternness and pointing her finger at Vanessa.
"I-I-I will ma' lady." Vanessa said dramatically and they both chuckled.
Getting down the car they both entered inside the shop and saw some of the customers admiring their tattoo while some were hissing and blowing at that place which made a flicker of fear to illuminate in Vanessa's heart and she wanted to turn around and run away but suddenly her gaze went to the couple in front of her.
