[Y/N POV]
(Groans)
"Ugh."
"Oww."
"Ouch."
"Is everyone okay?"
Not really, I think to myself.
Kenji is crawling down from a tree
Ben is sprawled on the floor
Yaz is helping Sammy stand up
Brooklyn is struggling to just kneel
Darius is groaning and holding his temples.
Yup... Definitely not okay
I walk to Ben and crouch.
"Hey Y/N.. you're okay, right?" He weakly asks.
"I'm fine. I should be asking you that." I mumble and pull him up.
(roaring in the distance)
"Where the heck is that thing?"
Ben whimpers, "It's coming!"
"Shh! It could be anywhere."
"The observation tower was that way. Or was it that way? I..." Brooklyn sighs
"Wheres- no, no! My necklace, I left it in the bunk!" Darius panics, upset.
(roaring)
"We have slightly bigger problems than that." Yaz warns.
"We have to run. Now!" Ben yells loudly.
We do just that.
(heavy panting)
"Everything will be fine when we get back to camp."
"Ah!" Brooklyn yelps, almost tripping on a large root.
"Faster!" Darius says loudly
Everyone gasps in horror.
The camp is ruined.
We all look around, panicked, and devastated.
"Dave, Roxie, the other workers, they must've all gotten away." I mutter.
Ben stares at a truck with wide eyes. "Not all of them."
I feel my stomach clench, nauseous, just like Ben's is probably too.
"We're on our own."
Heavy Silence
"-Give me my phone!" Brooklyn suddenly snaps.
What?
"What?" Sammy jolts, startled.
"I don't care about you sneaking to Wu's lab, I don't care about whatever you did with the skin samples you took from the sinoceratops!"
"What!?" Ben yells.
"What skin samples?" I ask quietly.
"What were you doing in Wu's lab?" Kenji asks, frowning.
"I don't even care if you stole it now. All I wanna do is call for help! Where is it?"
"Uh, I..."
Sammy whimpers.
"I..."
Sammy seems to change her mind about something
"I don't know what you're talkin' about! Skin samples? Sneaking into labs? You made up some crazy thing in your own darn head!"
