"Harmony your sister Rebecca called today, and she is really upset that you did not call her to tell her you were back." My mother said all of a sudden. I knew that was coming because I did not call her to tell her I was coming home. It was not my fault. I was not intended to be back home so soon. I wanted to visit back home when I was brimming with success instead, I came back brimming with frustration and failure due to a certain egotistic person. I was upset I didn't even call my own parents to inform them of my return, they just opened their front door to find their dejected daughter on their doorstep. They did not question me just hugged me, and in that moment, I forgot why I was there and felt how I missed them.
When my mother said that to me, I was so happy that Rebecca didn't call me or else I would have been the one to inform her of my return, and I wasn't up for an earful of grievance she would carry because I didn't tell her I was coming home. And how much catching up we could have done the time I was home.
"When she calls back just tell her I am sorry, and I'll make it up to her in some way." I replied to my mother while my focus was still on applying nail polish to my toes.
"You can do that yourself because she is coming over."
"When is she coming over?" I asked has I moved to my next foot to do the next five toes.
"Tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?" I asked, a smug face popping up in my mind. Why tomorrow of all days? When this annoying guy is still here. She could have visited me another day to berate me for not telling her I was coming back home. I wished she had called when I had gotten rid of him. With him here and my sister coming who can tell what lies will come out of his mouth the soon as they meet.
Tomorrow is going to be one hectic day.

The sun made its presence known by shining its glaring rays into my eyes. I squeezed my eyes shut groaning that I had to wake up. I was having a pleasant dream. In the dream, I was having the time of my life has I had finally got rid of the pest in my life. I laughed in his face when I threw his suitcase through the door, and then slamming it in his face.
I no longer had to share a bed or tolerate his obnoxious behaviour and hovering over me everywhere I went just to annoy me. I sighed. The sunshine was warming my eyes after the brief glare, so I was comfortably laying in my bed.
"I knew you couldn't resist me, and you would be snuggling up to me in no time." I heard a husky voice said through my morning haze. I still had the sleepy brain, so I slowly opened my eyes. I blinked my eyes to adjust to the sudden light. When my vision finally cleared, to my horror I was hugging the torso, a shirtless torso with my face laying on his chest. Please let this be a nightmare that a person may experience early in the morning. I closed my eyes tight to open them again to see that I am still in the nightmare. How do persons wake up from this type of nightmare? I slowly turned my head around to come face to face with a smug face. He was smiling like he won something precious.
Dammit. Our sleeping arrangement was going so great without me snuggling up to him. What happened? I bet this was his doing. In the middle of the night, he pulled me closer to him and lay my head on his chest just so he could have this look on his face. This must be the explanation because there is no way I had done this disgraceful thing on my own.
I was about to get up when my bedroom door was burst opened. I spined my head so fast to see who it was my neck was paining me. We both looked at the open door wide eyed with surprise to see my sister standing in front of it. Then we saw other heads poking into the room. "Oops, I guess I should've knocked before entering," Rebecca said grinning from ear to ear looking unapologetic. She looks rather gossipy like she had found the juiciest scope. She slammed the door shut after saying that. I could hear not so hushed whispers at my door until it faded away.
