You shut your dorm room door with a deep sigh. The day had been a stress overload, juggling the impending midterm exams and a project that held a hefty thirty percent of your grade. The weight of your studies left little room for anything else, causing a pang of guilt for spending less time with Taylor.

Upon receiving a text from Taylor checking if you were still too busy, you replied,

Taylor read the message but stayed silent. Caught in a whirlwind of emotions, you muted your phone, reluctantly delving into your textbooks.

An hour later, a knock disrupted the dorm's silence, prompting you to groan and answer the door.

Opening it, you found Taylor, still in her pencil skirt and blazer, wearing a nervous smile and holding a small bouquet.

"Hey."

"Tay!" you exclaimed, pulling the blonde into a hug. "What brings you here?"

"You told me to come over," Taylor replied.

"Right, sorry, got lost in my books," you admitted, mentally scolding yourself.

"No worries. Can I come in?"

"You don't have to ask."

Five minutes later, Taylor sat on your dorm bed while you focused on calculus formulas with your head on her shoulder.

An hour of silent studying passed, broken by Taylor speaking up.

"Wanna come over to my room?"

"What?"

"Do you want to come over to my room?" Taylor repeated.

"Um, sure, why not?"

"Let's go."

...

"You need a break, doe," Taylor whispered, her hand on your thigh.

You were in Taylor's room now, and you had brought your study materials with you.

"I know, but-"

"Shh. I love you, doe, but you're overdoing it."

You sighed. "Fine. One break. Fifteen minutes."

"No, you're done for the night," Taylor asserted, taking all of your textbooks and setting them aside.

You groaned. "Tay, please, I have a test tomorrow!"

"Nope. We're watching Titanic, you're gonna cry, you're gonna laugh, and you'll forget about that test for at least six hours."

You sighed but eventually gave in.

...

You curled into Taylor like a cat, your head resting on her shoulder. As Titanic reruns played, Taylor held a mocktail in hand. She was on her fourth glass.

"Can I have a sip of your mocktail?" you asked softly, holding your hand out and looking up at Taylor with your puppy eyes.

"That's not allowed on campus, darling," Taylor muttered.

"Nothing we're doing here is allowed on campus."

Taylor chuckled, the sound warm and comforting. She opened her mouth to answer, but closed it again. "Fair point." She handed you the glass and you took a sip.

As you continued watching Titanic, the tension from your shoulders seemed to melt away. The movie worked its magic, drawing you into its world of love and tragedy.

You couldn't help but steal glances at Taylor, captivated by the play of emotions on her face. Taylor caught your gaze and grinned.

"What's on your mind?" Taylor asked, her fingers gently tracing circles on your back.

"Nothing. I just... I love you."

Taylor chuckled. A deep crimson blush rose to her cheeks as she looked down. "I-I love you, too."
