Gerard had always found the presence of religious symbols in Frank's home ironic, given Frank's own hidden nature. He couldn't help but find humor in the sight of the Bible. With a chuckle, Gerard reached out and flipped through the pages, skimming over the familiar verses. Gerard held up the Bible as Frank entered the living room. "Hey, Frank, have you finished this?" he asked, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. Frank chuckled as he approached Gerard. "Of course, I have," he replied, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "I'm a pastor, remember? It's practically required reading." Gerard laughed, shaking his head at Frank's quick wit. "Right, how could I forget?" he quipped, setting the Bible back down on the table with a grin. "Well, I hope you've found some good bedtime stories in there." Frank rolled his eyes playfully, taking Gerard's hand in his own. "Oh, you have no idea," he teased, pulling Gerard closer with a gentle tug. "But let's save the storytelling for later, hmm?" With a knowing smile, Gerard kissed Frank lightly.

Gerard pushed gently against Frank's chest, a playful smile on his lips as he extricated himself from Frank's lips. "I'll be right back," he said, giving Frank a quick peck on the cheek before turning towards the shelves lined with candles. As Gerard browsed through Frank's extensive collection, his fingers trailed over the various shapes and sizes. He picked up a few, inspecting them with a critical eye before setting them back down with a satisfied nod. Frank watched Gerard from across the room, a fond smile playing on his lips as he admired the way Gerard seemed to light up in the presence of something he loved. Sometimes, though, Gerard couldn't shake the unsettling feeling that Frank's devotion bordered on obsession. It was evident in the way Frank would do anything for him, even if it meant sacrificing his own well-being or hurting others in the process. Despite Gerard's protests, Frank always seemed to find a way to bend the rules, to push the boundaries of what was acceptable in their society. But as much as Gerard cherished Frank's love and devotion, he couldn't help but worry about the toll it was taking on both of them.

Frank himself couldn't fathom why he had turned out to be a monster, despite having a seemingly normal and happy childhood. He often found himself unable to fully understand or accept its existence. He had learned early on to bury his demons deep within, to hide them. But no matter how hard he tried to suppress them, they always found a way to claw their way to the surface. If Frank were to be cut in halves, the insides of him would be a swirling mass of dark fluids, far from what society considered normal. Despite his outward appearance of normalcy, Frank knew that he was anything but a monster disguised in the skin of a man. Frank had no remorse for his actions, and he felt no fear of consequences because he knew his status as a pastor would protect him. The townspeople saw him as an innocent figure, and he took advantage of that perception to continue his actions without suspicion. This sense of impunity emboldened him to repeat his actions again and again, with no regard for the harm he caused.

Gerard turned to Frank and pointed to a purple candle on the shelf. "Hey, Frank, do you mind if I have this one?" he asked. Frank glanced at the candle and then back at Gerard, a warm smile spreading across his lips. "Of course, honey," he replied, reaching out to grab the candle and hand it to Gerard. "It's all yours." Gerard grinned appreciatively, taking the candle from Frank's outstretched hand. "Thanks, Frank," he said. "I've been wanting this one for a while." Frank nodded, his own smile widening at Gerard's excitement. "I know," he said softly, brushing a stray strand of hair from Gerard's face. "I just wanted to see that smile of yours." Gerard chuckled, leaning in to press a quick kiss to Frank's lips. "Well, you got it," he said. Gerard grinned mischievously as he pushed Frank gently onto the couch. With a quick maneuver, he straddled Frank's lap, his legs sandwiched between Frank's waist. Frank let out a surprised laugh as Gerard settled comfortably into his lap, their bodies fitting together perfectly. "Well, hello there," he teased, wrapping his arms around Gerard's waist and pulling him closer.
