Hey girls," Tishoy ran up to us after being dropped off by her mom.
"Hey," Johannah and I both said.
"Hey, you excited if yuh birthday? BIG 19??" Tishoy asked as we sat under a tree
"Uhm yea,"
"Yuh nuh sound sure," she said
"Well, maybe bc I'm going into adulthood, and I'm not ready," I say honestly.
"Girl, yuh know how much people cyaa wait fi become an adult?" Johannah chimps in.
"Well, I see adult struggle, and life hard enuh" I said.
"So weh yah try fi seh, yah guh struggle? Girl, you don't know the reason why they are struggling is maybe because dem tek up dem self and do drugs or guh gamble" Tishoy said.

"Stop there suh, yah turn 18, live with your parents they provide for you and does anything for because you're an only child, you have an education, etc. Yuh nah guh struggle, stop think negative man"

"Yeah lighten up a little man," Johannah said.
Talking for a while, we soon heard the bell rings.

Alright class, see you next week" Mr Smith said as we all exited the class.
"Oh jayvon a minute?" he stopped me as I was about to walk past.
"A wahm now?" I asked. Standing infront of his table.
"Jayvon, I realised you're failing, a lot, not only IT but your other classes. Cape is coming up and your averages are very low, you need to step up your game, because as your teacher I advised you to study and if you can't which I doubt you can study with someone.

After listening to talking him about my grades over and over. Stopped when a person walked by.
"Oh Johannah, just the perfect person I need," he said, and I turned to see it was indeed Johannah.
"Yeah?"
"I want you to tutor him. Well, help him because he needs to get a good grade on the next test, and if you're kind enough you can also help him study for Cape." He continues, and I looked at Johannah for her response.
'Uhm, what if I say no?" She asked, looking at him weirdly.
"Well, that will be sad because I really want him to step up his game.
"Well, he can study for himself," she continues.
"But-
"Yah help mi or not beside by how him seh it anuh ask and tell him a tell yuh" I said cutting them off.
Looking at her, her facial expression says it all.
"Fine,"she clenched her teeth.
"Then it settles." Mr Smith says going back to who knows what he was doing.
"But mek sure yuh pay mi" is the last thing she said low enough for me alone to hear before walking out.
