Fundraiser

Once I'm done getting ready I turn around to see Peeta holding Delilah and wrapping his free arm around me.
"How'd i manage to have you as mine?"
"I could say the same thing" I say turning around to face him
"Let's go....or we'll be late" Peeta says intertwining our hands.

||Fundraiser park||

"You made it!" Cathrin Peeta's mom says rushing towards me
"Come on I want to start you up first" she says ushering me to the back of the stage.
"Do you know what song your singing?" She asks me
"Yah....it's very nice and calming so hope it brings tears to people's eyes" I say

"Katniss sweetie...with your voice I'm pretty sure everyone in this museum park will have tears in their eyes" she assures me before getting me positioned for the curtains to open.

"And here is Katniss Mellark" she says and I hear a bunch of cheers before everyone goes silent.

Once I'm done singing I look around to see mostly everyone in tears. Some moms are even sobbing a little holding their children desperately close to them.

"Thank you katniss" Cathrin says and I hop off stage to hear everyone clapping and seeing moms walking to me with their children.
"Your song inspired me a lot to keep fighting my cancer" a girl says
"Your song helped me know I'm not alone in these struggles of being epileptic"
"Your song helped us all to stand stronger than ever...thank you" a little girl says holding my hand and that's when I allow a tear to slip from my eye.
