Of course they did. How did I not see that? But what doesn't make sense, is that this isn't the voice from that room. They can't be the same person.

Both me and Shire are just staring at them in shock. We must be thinking the same thing. 'How does this make sense?' It doesn't. The only way that Korah kidnapping us makes sense, is either a voice changer, or they are lying and what they actually did is much worse. I quickly shut my gaping jaw, and give them a death stare. The amount of possibilities and things to say that are flying through my mind is almost too much, But I manage to get one thing out.

"How the fuck, did you do that then?" I spit, the disdain and venom dripping from each and every word. They immediately take a step back and put their hands up in defense.

"Woah, calm down. I was forced to help. I was the one who hit him over the head, but he didn't go down. He obviously put up a fight." They say, gesturing to Shire when they say the last part.

"So you did this to him? You were the one who broke his leg, and knocked his brain against his skull? Why the hell would you do that to someone, even if you were forced?" I ask. I ended up raising my voice a bit at the end. My eyes started to tear up as I stared them down. If they wanted to hurt us, then they would see my pain too.

"Listen, Nye-" I cut them off

"No. My friends call me Nye. I thought you were here to help us, but you were the one who put us here. So save it. I don't want to hear it." I can feel my voice breaking as I feel tears start to fall. All they do is stare at me. They just stand there, like they feel no remorse. The monster in front of me, who almost killed my best friend, who kidnapped me, my friend, brought me to a place that I don't even know, is standing in front of me with no visual remorse.

"Please. Just listen to wha-"

"I said save it! I don't want to listen to you or your pathetic sob story. You were already keeping things from us the moment you walked in that door, and I don't want to hear any more of your li-"

"They were going to kill my family!" They yell suddenly. It catches me off guard, and I take a step back in shock. "They told me that if I didn't listen to them, they were going to kill my family. I didn't have a choice. I hated what I was doing, and they offered me money, and they said they were going to kill my family in front of me and then they were going to kill me if I didn't comply, and-" Now it's their turn to cry. At this point, I know exactly where I am. I set Shire down on the ground gentilly, so I don't hurt him more than he already is. I pause a moment, trying to assess my options. I know exactly where I am, and I know exactly why I'm here. I also know exactly the kind of abuse Korah has endured.

And then I collapse. All of the memories that I had forgotten suddenly coming back to me. My heart rate increases, my breath quickens, I feel like I'm going to pass out. I remember it all, everything that happened, everything that I was forced to do, all of the little details becoming clear as my vision starts to swim. Everything is going dark and I feel myself hit the floor before I can't see anything anymore.
