The next day at school Aurora let herself fall into her thoughts as she searched within her locker. It wasn't until she heard someone call out her name causing her to snap out of her dazed trance and glance over at her two friends,
"Sorry, I did it again didn't I?" Aurora focused her attention onto her friends as Caroline nodded her head causing the strawberry blonde to sigh and cover her stomach by tugging on her jacket in the process to cover the revealed skin as she moved uncomfortably in the interaction before swallowing dryly. "What were you saying?" "I was asking if you had your costume ready." she raised an eyebrow in interest as Aurora's glance moved to Bonnie discreetly before going back to Caroline's presence. "Yup, we are all set." "Finally, someone who's prepared for Halloween. I'm going to find Elena, see you girls later." Caroline's eyes twinkled in excitement as she sent Bonnie a knowing glance who only raised an eyebrow in response causing Aurora to let out a small laugh from her friend's exit.
Months in advance, Caroline took the initiative to connect with Aurora and Bonnie, eager to plan a group costume for the Halloween party that was happening at the school tonight, especially since they were all single. The trio had contemplated inviting Elena to join them, but she had already committed to a couple's costume with her now-ex-boyfriend, Matt. Undeterred, Caroline, Aurora, and Bonnie settled on dressing up as medieval witches for the highly anticipated Halloween party at their school.
Caroline, known for her diligent attention to appearances, meticulously organized every aspect of their costumes, ensuring that they would look absolutely stunning from head to toe at the event. "Cider for the ladies. It's a Lockwood special," Tyler grinned, presenting the drinks to the trio. "No way. Last year I was hung over until Thanksgiving," Bonnie quickly declined, recalling the aftermath of the previous year's indulgence.
"Lightweight. I am going to drink until someone is hot enough to make out with," Caroline declared, accepting the cup from Tyler with a mischievous grin. Her statement caused Aurora to smirk, seizing the drink from her friend and bringing it to her lips, while sending a playful wink towards her companions. "Count me in," she added teasingly. "Sounds like a plan," Tyler chimed in, clearly amused by the two girls' lighthearted intentions for the evening. His grin widened, observing their amusing banter.
