1 : Summer glow-up

First day in a new school year

Oh boi

Here comes bella
" Hey girl...... boi you look hot, really rocked your summer huh, and you're in a mini skirt, wow what's all this for "
"Umm okay, first of all good morning and how was your summer "
"Good good, you?"
"Eh it was cool " I say and continue walking
"Really girl, just cool, you look like you fell out of a lifestyle magazine. I mean look at you"
"I know, my mum, aunt and brother said it, I go on one summer vacation and boom everyone thinks I'm a hottie "
" You are a hottie, c'mon give me a twirl " she says pulling my hand
"Stop it we're in public " I scold pulling my hand away from her hold
"Uh whatever " she says making a show of rolling her eyes
 
   Bella is my best friend, well my only friend not like I don't want friends but it's whatever, we've known each other since we're little kids so she's basically like a sister to me now, although she's a social butterfly and I'm well not, we still get along quite and we've learnt to compromise into our lifestyles

Anyway, we get to our lockers which are just two spaces away from each other and...
"My classes aren't aligned with your's anymore" she says with a pout "who's gonna follow you around and make you happy now"
"Seriously bels, you know I could use some space"
"Ugh you're such a fun sponge you know" she looks over my shoulder "and here comes the B's"

    Oh right, the B's, Britney, Brandy and Brianna, my chief bullies, not like they hate me or anything but I dunno Britney just despises me

Speaking of her
She passes brushes my shoulder a little too roughly, I was kinda hoping she'll just move on after that but nope, she just can't miss an opportunity to mock me

"Oh hey dork"
Err that eerie high pitched voice, totally didn't miss it
" Didn't see you there since you literally dressed to match with the lockers "

I look at my outfit
Blue skirt, orange top
  
     Just great

" Britney could you just please move along, first day of a new school year try something new like I dunno nicer" bella interrupts giving her a pointed look
"Oh I see you did, but trust me looking like the janitor is nothing nice" Britney says and the three laugh in unison while walking away
 
     Urrgh freaky

"Don't let her get to you bels" I say closing my locker almost simultaneously with her's
"Course not that's just classic Britney, plus it a new school year and I just wanna be happy"

Last period coming out of calculus

Oh my phone's ringing

I begin to search my bag
"Where'd I put it, where'd I-"
I'm cut off by running into a hard wall and all my stuff fall to the ground

"Oh sorry"
"Yeah it's okay I wasn't looking"

Wait walls don't talk

I look up and it's a he

Huh

He's going down on one knee and

Oh

My stuff

I go down too and he helps me with my stuff and then we both stand together

........ And we're just staring

Then he breaks the silence
"Hey I'm Jake, Jake Redman"

Oh I've already said that

"You know like captain of the basketball team"
 
Well no shit Sherlock

"Yeah I know" I respond nonchalantly and attempt to move

So not in the mood for a conversation

"I haven't seen you around, you new here"

Seriously pretty boy

"No I'm not"
"Really, got a name"
"Alexandra Hart"
"Oh wait, like Alexa Hart, the dork"

Guess I'm not so anonymous after all

"Yeah whatever"
"Britney talks about you a lot"

    Great just great

And my day was just about to end well but this annoyingly handsome guy had to ruin it

" You know this isn't what I expected you to look like" he said leaning on the lockers to the side

Is that supposed to be a compliment or what

"Okayyy"

He looks both shocked and amused

This conversation or whatever this is, Is taking too much of my time
The halls are getting empty

Stop staring freak

"Hey, Alex what are you still doing here"
I couldn't be more thankful for bella right now but she stops immediately she notices the guy standing in front of me

She looks..... mesmerized

"J-Jake" Is she literally stuttering

Great just great

"Oh hey, um Becky-beatrice" he says thinking
"It's Bella" she responds snapping out of her day dream
"Um so Alex, I'll see you tomorrow yeah"

Did he just ask me that

Course I'm coming to school tomorrow but seeing you

No way pretty boy

"Yeah sure"
"K bye" and with that he walks away leaving a slightly amused me and a very confused bella

Then she turns to me with so many questions in her eyes and I begin to walk away hoping I could escape it
But she catches up and begins to ramble
"You know Jake Redman, you spoke to Jake Redman, he smiled at you, what happened during the summer, one day, did I miss that much of......"
 
And there goes my quiet evening
