Squishing four of the slimes together, at first, they resisted but with a little bit more force I was able to make it happen. I figured out that if Slimes combine, they gain a bit more sentience and mobility. I find that kind of disturbing.

Knowing that Slimes could combine and become an even bigger menace shakes me up a bit. Besides that, things were going smoothly. Now I just need to place the Vex armor on it.

"Let's see what this does."

I grab the armor and squish it into the combined slime. The Vex Armor immediately started to convert the slime. The Slime writhed in pain and agony as its form is being converted into Radiolaria.

WRITHE! WRITHE! WRITHE!

The slime continues to writhe until it stops. its body completely turned into Radiolaria. Perfect! Now I just need to make sure Radiolaria sticks to the armor.

"This better work, I've been pulling ideas out of my ass this whole time." I say to myself.

Holding the Vex Armor in place and letting the Radiolaria enter it. I slowly start dropping the Experiment into the Lake. I'm hoping that the Lake (Aka My consciousness) will help the now already present Radiolaria flow more fluidly into the Armor. Now that I think about it. . . I'm just dunking random shit into the Lake. . .

"I come to the conclusion that this is stupid." I say to myself.

"Still doing it though, I mean it worked for Proto, and he was made by me throwing rocks and pebbles into the lake."

Suddenly. I sense movement.

"WAIT! NO SHOT THIS WORKS!"

The Vex armor starts moving and floating from the lake.

Slowly ascending more and more, the entity emerges. first a Head, then arms, and then legs. It looked like a Slime made of entirely of Radiolaria wearing Armor. the entire entity was the size of my entire forearm.

And fully it emerged from the Lake.

"The Hell kind of Vex is that?" I say to myself

"The Hell kind of Vex is that?" I say to myself.

The newly formed Vex looked through its visor. Red glowing eyes appear and shift from right to left scanning the area. a beam of red light shoots out from its eyes. Once it's done scanning it shifts its attention towards me.

"Uh. . . welcome to existence little one!" I say awkwardly not knowing how to proceed with this.

It waves back and starts to approach me.

Once it reaches me it floats up to my face and. . .

It hugs me

It hugs me. . .

Um. . .

I. . . It. . .

. . .

This is. . . weirdly comforting. . .

I can't explain the feeling that I'm experiencing. Since when was the last time, I hugged someone?

The Vex tried removing its embrace, but I say to it that I like the feeling and wished it to continue.

"Wait, I kind of like the feeling. Can you continue hugging?"

Proto seeing this decides to join in as well.

I was being hugged by both of my Vex frames. I felt. . . really, really happy.

After a few minutes of hugging Proto and The Vex frame stopped their hugging.

"That was. . . a really nice experience." I say smiling.

The Vex frame floating gleefully at my happy face.

"Well. . . I've been missing that feeling for some time now. . ."

"Thanks for that, I should give you a special name." I say to the Vex frame.

"Let's see. . . hmmm. . ."

I stand there thinking of a few names to give to the Vex frame.

"How about Amias?" I say to the Vex frame.

Amias seems to like her name. She spins around to indicate her acceptance of the name.

"Alright! You are Amias, The Affectionate Mind!"

Amias spins around gleefully again, making an electronic chirping noise.

Anyways, now that I have my first Mind. I want to know what it does. looking at Amias, I ask her what she can do.

"What are you capable of Amias?" I say to her.

Amias floats towards the edge of the lake. Using the sphere of energy in between her horns, she forces Pure Mana to mix with a [Detainment Matrix], making it a [Matter Rejection Firewall]. How she has Pure Mana? probably due to extracting it from former Combined Slimes.

Anyways, through the shared consciousness, I could see how Amias's [Matter Rejection Firewall] works. [Matter Rejection Firewall] mixes [Detainment Matrix] and Pure Mana to create a Firewall that rejects anything that contains Mana (Basically all things), by default this barrier is impenetrable. The downsides being that the Firewall passively lets out Pure Mana and thus letting the Pure Mana transform into Rocks or other matter effectively making it a slowly forming natural wall and thus removing the impenetrable defense.

Basically, to dumb it down, [Matter Rejection Firewall]'s only downside is the First Law of Magic, Pure Mana must always strive for stability, through the process of materialization. "William's Law" for short, and yes, I named it after me so shut up.

Also, what I found out is that Pure Mana works similarly and sometimes not similarly as Virtual Particles. If you don't know what that is, it's basically a pair of particles that come into existence along with its antiparticle and they both collide to cancel each other out. What this means is that Mana just comes into existence. Mana being magic, affects The Physical World, but what is puzzling is that there is no Antiparticle for Mana. Mana comes into existence and then materializes into Matter. By all means this does not make sense at all. and going by William's Law, this world is. . . infinite. This is just twisting my brain.

I have yet to figure out how this world's magic functions but it's going to be one hell of a ride that is for sure.

Sidelining that for a moment. Amias showed me that she is capable of creating more Radiolaria, which means. We could expand the lake!
