Singularity F (III): Singular Point

Start from the beginning

The Master's subsequent fit of giggling was interrupted by Saber getting back up with a dark blaze as she rushed straight at him, never taking her eyes off him as she swung Excalibur.

Another mistake, as she was almost caught off guard by the hulking mass of steel that was Mash's shield bashing into her side with a loud clang. (Y/N) grinned at the Shielder.

(Y/N): Hoho, de-nied! Nice block, Mashmallow! You feel better now?

Mash: Yes, Master. I-I still have some questions about what is happening right now, but this is working to our advantage.

(Y/N): Yep! Time to earn that Hall of Fame Chase Down Artist badge!

Once again, he didn't allow anyone to take a breather as he made a beeline straight for Saber. The dark swordsman was ready this time, meeting his fist halfway with a swing of Excalibur.

Much to her surprise, his hand wasn't immediately obliterated by the dark blade's mana or sharpness. Her yellow eyes saw beyond the dark energy and into his cheshire-length grin.

(Y/N): What did the shield say to the face?

He jumped clear at the last second to make way for Mash, who was charging shield-first from above. Her feet left the ground again as she was flung across the battlefield. She fell dozens of meters back, again turning to land on her feet, skidding much further away this time.

(Y/N): Hmm, this should be the time where the boss transitions into the second phase, right?

As if on cue, the dark king got back up as if nothing had happened. Grasping her sword on both hands, a black geyser burst forth from the corrupted blade, exponentially extending its range. She swung in a horizontal arc to strike both of her opponents.

Mash: Senpai!

The Shielder placed herself in the front just in time. Mash grit her teeth as the wave of darkness threatened to overpower her guard, but she managed to hold firm long enough for the attack to lose power. She looked over her shoulder, and her Senpai wasn't there.

(Y/N): That's a Saber for you, shooting laser beams all over!

Saber, who only began to comprehend that the "mage" was blindingly fast, raised an armored forearm in time to block another right hook from the side. She skidded only a few feet away, having successfully blocked the attack.

Or so she thought. Her vision suddenly fell to the ground as her body followed suit. She had blocked the attack, but this time, the punch was so strong that her guard might have as well been nonexistent.

(Y/N): Hey, is it me, or are we kinda whooping her ass right now? So much for the final boss.

Mash: Remember that she still hasn't used her Noble Phantasm, Senpai!

(Y/N): Oh, yeah, she's probably taken enough damage to fill her Ult bar.

He hopped away from his position and returned to Mash's side just in time to watch Saber getting back up. Her left forearm was shaking as she gripped her sword because of the monumental damage she had taken in (Y/N)'s recent attack.

(Y/N): Oh dear, Noble Phantasm coming right up. It's a good time to jump clear, Mashmallow.

Mash: I-I don't think we have a choice. This is THE Excalibur we're talking about--

(Y/N): *smirk* I didn't say that it was Saber's Noble Phantasm that was coming up.

It was then that both Saber and Mash realized that they had all but forgotten that this wasn't a two against one, but three against one.
