Cu: Are you seriously going to be a petty bastard right now?!
(Y/N): I'll stop once you can throw a punch to save your life. Speaking of which, I should probably avoid getting unalived right about now.
His tone was far too casual as Excalibur missed his throat by only a few inches with him stepping back to avoid it. A dozen more slashes came, but he just jumped further away to avoid them until he was back with the team.
Mash: S-Senpai-!
(Y/N): Shield up, darling!
She blinked, and that blow came. Saber had flung herself across the battlefield in an instant, her sword clashing with Mash's shield, catching her by surprise as the steel blade scraped against the iron shield. A second later, another blow landed. Followed by another in rapid succession, and another.
In the time it took for Mash to process what was happening, Saber had landed a dozen strikes against her shield, and it was only because of her single-minded determination to protect the people behind her that her guard had not relented. It was only after a sudden fireball from Caster that Saber stopped, leaning back to dodge the blast and separate from Mash.
That said, it only directed her attention to the Caster, as she spun and lunged for him, her sword swinging in a downward arc. It just narrowly missed him as he jumped to the side, providing an opportunity for Mash to dive in and go on the offensive. Unfortunately, Saber seemed to expect this and quickly spun to block Mash's charge, steel scraping against iron again and sending sparks flying about.
(Y/N): Hey, Saber, it'll feel better if you blast your Linkin Park album!
She was unprepared for the shield to be suddenly bashed to the side as a gloved fist tore through the wind. Saber barely had time to raise her blade before it struck dead-on, its strength being such that it pushed Excalibur's flat side right into her chest plate, creating considerable distance between them.
He took the time to wink at Mash, who had barely begun to process the current turn of events as she stared back with wide eyes.
(Y/N): That's my Servant, not a single attack got past your guard. That being said, here's your first lesson in combat: Don't be reactive. Instead, be hyperactive, like yours truly. Cyclops, you know what to do!
He made an example of this by taking the initiative and breaking into a run. Caster, hearing the command, cast a rune in the air to produce a barrage of fire. Saber saw this tactic and prepared to swing her blade to obliterate everything all at once, but she made the mistake of taking her eyes off (Y/N) for a split second as she looked at the flames.
Her eyes widened. He was gone. Left. Right. Behind. Above--
(Y/N): SHOOOOOOOOOORYUKEN!
The punch came from below. A vicious uppercut that had no business being so devastating coming from a mere "modern-day mage". Caster's flames weren't a cover; they were the follow-up, and they struck Saber's form all at once.
(Y/N): Oh hey, that worked! Nice assist!
Cu: You were expecting it not to?!
(Y/N): It was a coin's toss, to be honest!
Cu: Oh, of course it was. What's the plan?!
(Y/N): No plan, we ball!
Cu: The hell?!
(Y/N): The enemy can't know what we're doing if we don't know what we're doing! Flawless logic!
Cu: Fucking typical!
