There stood a lone Master, the last hope for humanity, an almighty force from the beyond, fighting for the future of the world-
"Yeah, yeah, can we get on with this? This cutscene doesn't give me SQ, and the gacha doesn't wait for anyone."
Unfortuna...
Romani: That's... kind of a cold way of looking at it, you know.
(Y/N): Really now? Would you rather a town mayor be killed and everything just stops for a few days before moving on, or the king of a continent-wide empire be killed, leading to the collapse of several aspects of society and taking decades, or even centuries to recover?
Cu: Mmm. As much as I dislike agreeing with this smiling asshole, he's got a point.
(Y/N): Ha! You're just salty because I'm so much better at punching things up close and personal while you have to hang back.
Cu: Yeah, I get to hang back and patiently wait for the time when someone punches you back. That'd be a treat to see.
(Y/N): *smirk* Yes, I'm sure it will be. By the way, I do wonder what happened for the great Fraudchulainn to develop a bruise on his left cheek.
The Caster said nothing and just scoffed, feeling a slight phantom pain from the vicious right hook his own Master had delivered onto him when he attacked out of nowhere.
Romani: Aaaaaaaanyway, you've almost reached the end of the tunnel. Are you going to rest some more, or are you feeling well enough to take on Saber?
(Y/N): Was that a rhetorical question? Of course we're good enough. Mashmallow and I will handle business while you guys stand in awe at how awesome we are. Right, sweetie?
Mash: I don't know about that last part, but I'll definitely try to give it my all.
(Y/N): Hey, if you're not sure, here's an encouragement from yours truly: If you fail, you're gonna die, and everyone else will follow!
Hearing such a thing, Mash, who wasn't exactly a shining example of confidence at that point, paled to the level of a sheet of paper. Laughing at the horrified looks he got from everyone else, he gestured dismissively with a grin.
(Y/N): Then again, it's no use talking about something that won't happen. The reason? You're looking at it. There's no greater proof of our victory, after all.
Mash was in awe at her Master's sincere self-confidence and gave a slight smile. The rest of the Chaldea team took his boasting with a grain of salt.
Cu Chulainn, who could easily tell between confidence and arrogance, grudgingly conceded that so far, the Master seemed to be much more competent than one would initially assume.
Not that he could be blamed, since the Master clearly delighted in being as annoying as possible.
The cavern that the group walked into was far larger than expected. A wide open space stretched out from the opening they exited from, a sign of just how much digging had gone on to form these caves.
Unlike through the brightly-lit tunnels, there was only one light source deeper in. They could see bright yellow light coming out from that place, however there was a massive wall stretching across the width of the cave, covering the source from direct sight.
