|MACKENZIE.|

I had checked camera set ups from nearly every direction not only once but twice and I had proudly checked it off the agenda checklist with my snazzy purple clipboard. I tuck the pen into the metal piece, smiling.

"Megaphone?" I asked, holding my hand out to one of my coworkers named John, as he places it in my hand.

"Alright everybody!" I yell really loud, grabbing the attention of the entire room.

"Mackenzie! Not my damn megaphone. Megaphone rights are strictly for the director. Got that? Never do that again. You're lucky you're a great producer who's earned a rep in this industry. Otherwise, it's the door." She scolded sternly. "Now give me that."

"Fine, fine. Sorry.. I just thought we could--"

"You just thought you could, jacksquat. This isn't high school musical, Mackenzie." She replied.

"Sorry." I said in a tinier voice. "Got it."

I check my list again, and it's to keep track of things at camera two which was one of the main cameras in the living room where the others could do solo narratives.

"Alright, so.. Camera two." I nodded once, silently affirmating an of course I got one of the best cameras in this joint. "Did we need any more help at camera three, Jess?" I questioned.

"Camera three's all covered. You'll be able to check through all of the cameras later today in case we need to edit anything out or add any more segments." She said. "Now scurry on."

"Alrighty." I forced a smile, before it faded and I sighed once I turned around. I meander across the room and over to the free seat at camera two. There were only a few, about two to three camera people each section we've got set up. The seat was comfy, though for a moment I was scared that the seat would give away, and break. I jump slightly.

A camera man looks at me in confusion as I laugh it off nervously. "Bouncy chair here." I covered up.

"The bounciest." He said.

I turned over to where camera one was near the door outside, rolling its way in as the band made their way in, as well as Michael and Calum's girlfriend. I smiled faintly, though I smiled bigger in hopes that people would know that I was just as excited and buzzing as everyone else was. Though I was quite literally dreading having to talk to Luke again, I knew I had to at some point, in the case we had to do any other takes or what not. As for the what not, would yet be something that'd happen off film. The I-don't-know-what-yet's were the most exciting part about producing, but here I was. Still dreading the prescence of this guy named Luke.

Maybe the Darth to my Vader voice in my head would tell me to rat him out. I thought. Or maybe I was attracted to him. But of course that was a strict no-go. This was work. And work is work. God, I'm such a scatterbrain.

They seemed really happy, as they all unfolded in social conversation about how the spring would be like as they stayed in the beach mansion. I bounced my knee antsily. I check the agenda again in the footnote area which was the script outline for season 1, episode 1. In other words the pilot, but I guess they chose to put it into the title. Pilot, it was called. I spend the rest of the time flipping through paperwork I've already flipped through hours ago, and I do so again just as I've finished.

It had been about fifteen minutes later, when Luke was getting ready to film a segment at camera three. It was his first narrative in episode one.

"Are you ready?" I asked him.
