I can't believe Lucy invited Jake!
I mean, of course she told me beforehand that she was going to invite him, but I didn't expect that she actually would. I didn't expect him to actually show up, either.
He's so cute.
I have missed him so much...
No Hannah! He broke up with you.
Sure, he's as hot as the day you fell in love with him, but he also broke your heart.
I hated him.
Was he thinking of me?
"Why is everyone being so awkward?" Jake wondered out loud.
Maybe we're all awkward because you are here? I thought.
"We're fine." Lucy said. "Nobody is being awkward."
This entire night is just awkward.
An awkward silence fell on the table. It was so silent that if a pin were to drop, it would probably echo.
"Let's just get drunk?" Cody suggested.
"Yes." Literally everyone else agreed.
Everyone begins to pour a drink for themselves when Jake comes beside me, making me feel uneasy.
"Hey." He says to me.
"What do you want?" I asked, bluntly.
"Can we talk?" He wondered.
Is he serious?
'Can we talk?' Like, what the fuck?
"No thanks." I say.
"Please." He pleaded.
No, Hannah! Don't do it!
Do not do it!
"Fine."
Ugh.
He takes my hand and leads me away from the rest of the group. When we come to a halt, I snatch my hand back from him and try my best to avoid eye contact.
"How are you?" He asked me.
Oh my goddess!
"Are you serious?"
"I'm sorry." He places his hand on my shoulder.
God I missed his touch.
"I've missed you." He says just what I wanted to hear.
How dare he make me feel like this!?
"Really?" I asked for clarification.
"More than you know." My eyes meet his, and I swear, the entire world melted around us.
I know I should not give into temptation, but I wanted him so bad right now.
Damn you Jake Dunne. I thought before crashing my lips against his.
Dallas
Cody's arm was draped around my shoulders as he whispered into my ear. "Do you think he thinks we're a thing?"
I look over at Grayson and he quickly averts his gaze from our direction.
