I knocked on the door and entered her cabin. There she was engrossed in her laptop unaware of the the havoc she created in my life

I wanted to ask her who was Kabir Rajvansh? But then another question arose in my mind. Why do I want to know who is he to her? It's not like I feel something for her.

Never in my life have I liked someone after her. It was her whom I thought I started developing feelings for. Then why I am forgetting it now?

I was continuously staring at Mam. When suddenly someone raised the voice and my trance broke.

Like a lost person I started moving my eyes towards the cabin and I realised I zoned out that to infront of my boss

"Yes mam" I tried making my voice come out steady but failed miserably. She looked at me and I was gone. She again resumed her work

"Mr. Sharma, if you are done with it, we have work to do" she spoke while typing something in her laptop.

Suddenly, she checked her phone. And a tinest smile graced her lips. Though it couldn't be considered as a smile and no one would have noticed it. It was just a slight upmoment of her lips.

She typed something and again discarded her phone.

"Sorry, Mam" I spoke and waited for her order

"Schedule "

I recited her whole day Schedule. She doesn't even take the lunch break. She just eats one sandwich which I bring daily from the cafeteria for her.

I was astonished when I learned she just prepares for some presentations during her break rather than eating. So I decided to take that matter into my hand

Firstly she declined but I was persistent. Later on she sighed and started having a meal.

I walked out off the room and the first half of the day went on with all the meetings

It was lunch time when I got a call from Alrina. I had totally forgotten about the plan. I quickly mumbled a yes to the restaurant she suggested and ended the call.

Mam was still there with me and I didn't want to take any chance to make her angry.

She left for a cabin and I quickly rushed to the cafeteria to buy her a sandwich

I again asked for permission and entered. She had spectacles on her nose and seemed tired. Still I know she won't stop working

I kept the bag on the table and moved to the decided place.

I spot Alrina at one of the corner seats. She saw me and waved at me. I smiled and starred making my way towards her.

The restaurant was bustling with crowd. The voices of chitter-chatter could be heard from few tables. The people were moving to their seats

Suddenly I collided with a person. I mumbled a sorry while cleaning my shirt when suddenly the person shouted

"Are you the same person who works for Ruhi? The person asked

I raised my face and was shocked to see THE KABIR RAJVANSH here. I looked around to spot Ruhi. Maybe he was here to meet her. But I found none

"It's rude not to reply" he commented

"Ahh, sorry. Yeah, I mean I work at A&N Co." I spoke

"You are my Ruhi' s secretary right?" He asked. Why is he calling her as his. And why he wants to know who I am

"Yess" I replied and was about to leave when he held my hand and made me take a seat at the chair beside

"Ohh that's good. So can you please tell me is she fine? Like really fine? Did she eat? I know she doesn't eat in middle of the day yet. Please just serve her something daily. She is workaholic a d forgets herself everytime. If it was in my hand I would have personally tend to her needs. But rn I can't. So can you please do it for me. I can pay you for it" he spoke in a single breath

"She is fine and having a sandwich. And no need to pay me. I am her secretay and it's my duty to take care of her needs. You don't need to stress" I spoke. I didn't knew why I sounded possessive. How can he just state that only he can take care of Mam

"If you would excuse me, it's my break time" I got up andmoved towards Alrina's table
