You Belong With Me

8. RADHIKA

Today is Sunday and I'm going to Rahul's place because his grandmother loves to eat chocochip cookies made by me. I made some for her yesterday and today I had to deliver them to her.

I parked my Activa near The Singh House and I noticed a Thar on the opposite side of the road. I immediately recognised it as it was the same Black Thar, on whose bonnet I was sitting a few days ago.

Something came into my mind and I went to knock on its window again. I don't know maybe it's the fact that I was waiting for Avyukta to open the window and flirt again. Maybe I wanted to get the feeling of deja vu. But as the window opened a new face came into view. The man was indeed handsome and he was looking a little bit like Avyukta maybe he was his brother but who knows.

"Hy, how may I help you?" He asked pulling earbud out of his ear.

''Heyy, um..m..I'm sorry..I - I thought it was A- I don't know why I was stuttering so much. Oh god please help.

"Hey hey, it's okay! Are you okay?" The man asked opening the door and coming out of the vehicle.

"No, no. I'm sorry. Thank you for asking. I just thought this is Avyu-

"Avyukta's Thar. Right?'' he spoke cutting me.

''yes, but how do you know?" I asked

"I'm the elder brother. Suyash Bharadwaj." He said gesturing his hand out for a hand shake.

''ohh, so you're the twenty five year old brother who acts like a five year old." A smile formed on my face. "By the way, I'm the junior. Radhika Vyas." I said joining both hands in a namaste and gesturing him from some distance.

"So, he told you this about me. Seriously?" He asked and I saw a frown taking place on his forehead.

'' yess'' I said scratching my head and we both shared a good laugh. I still remember when he told me this exact thing about his brother the other day when we talked on campus. After that I told him 'it was nice meeting you' and he *the elder brother* replied with the same and I went inside with the box of cookies in my hand.

As I reached the entrance, I stopped with a jolt and my body stilled.

His kinda Brown.
His kinda Chocolate Brown eyes to be precise, were staring into mine with so much intensity that when I looked up, I was about to melt. I felt a tingling sensation in my body along with knots in my stomach. I felt like...like he was staring deep into the parts of mine which no one has ever seen, parts that no one was able to see. Something made me feel like I'm naked and my soul was unveiled to him which he saw like he's finding answers, answers to questions someone never asked.

We both came back to our senses when Rahul waved his hand in between us and snatched his phone from Avyukta's hand.

I then carefully moved from Avyukta's side without any intention to touch him, I crossed him and went into dadi's room. Before entering I turned back to see him once again and he passed me a small smile to which I also simply grinned.

I thought that these boys were going somewhere as Rahul was dressed in jeans and a green tshirt and Avyukta was wearing white t-shirt with black checked shirt. Both of them looked absolutely good dressed in casuals.

"Aye Haye Haye, aagyi dadi ki yaad itne mahino baad tujhe." Dadi said as she saw me entering her room.

"Arey Dadi aapko bataya tha na Mera NEET exam tha. Ab vo clear ho Gaya hai ab gayab nahi hona padega mujhe."

"Ye Hui na baat." She said and patted my back. After that she asked me to accompany her to the garden. Dadi likes plants and flowers so much that she can spend the whole day sitting in her garden. We both sat down in her garden on the soft green grass.
