A while later, Buddy and Grace were out, across the street from Michael's school, waiting for Michael to come out
As Michael was out, Buddy tries to get his attention but he ignored him and walked away
Buddy and Grace tries to get to Michael but Michael was running away from them but they got to him
"Wow, you're fast. I'm glad I caught up to you. I waited five hours for you" Buddy said to Michael "why is your coat so big? So, good news - I saw a dog today. Have you seen a dog? You probably have. How was school? Was it fun? Did you get a lot of homework? Huh? Do you have any friends? Do you have a best friend? Does he have a big coat, too?"
"Go away!" Michael annoyed
Then a snowball hit Buddy in the face
"Ow! Son of a nutcracker" Buddy said
Michael turned, seeing kids throwing snow balls at them and he shouted "RUN!"
Michael, Grace and Buddy started running while the other kids were throwing snowballs a them and they hid behind the giant rock
"Oh no, these guys are bad news" Michael said "we better get out of here"
"You know what, we can take them" Buddy said "okay, you guys start making as many snowballs as you can"
So Grace and Michael started making snowballs and then Buddy already made so many of them
"You ready guys?" Buddy asked then and they were surprised of how many snowballs Buddy made "let's go"
Buddy started throwing snowballs at the other kids and it was so fast that the other kids couldn't throw the snowballs anymore, then they ran off
"Oh man, one got away' Michael sad as they saw a kid running off
"Snowball" Buddy said and Michael gave him one
Then Buddy threw the snowball at the kid and it made the kid fell
"Wow" Grace amazed
"Where did you say you were from?" Michael said and turned to Buddy
A while later, they were back at Gimbel's, having fun there and they were in a elevator, jumping
"I wish Dad were here" Buddy said
"Why?" Michael asked
"Cause he's the greatest Dad in the whole wide world" Buddy said
"Are you kidding? He's the worst Dad in the world" Michael said
"What do you mean?" Buddy asked
Then they came out of the elevator and went into the toys section again
"All he does is work" Michael said
"Working's fun" Buddy said
"Not the way he does it. All he cares about is money" Michael explains "he doesn't care about you, or me, or anybody"
"Well, he is on the naughty list" Buddy said and he saw Jovie
"You like her?" Michael asked Buddy
"Like who?" Buddy asked
"The girl you're staring at" Michael said as he points at Jovie
"Oh, uh... Yeah" Buddy said
"Oh yeah, he does" Grace said
"Why don't you ask her out?" Michael asked
"Out?" Buddy confused
"You know, on a date... to eat food" Michael said
"Food?" Buddy asked
"Yes, real food, not candy. And if she says yes, you're in" Michael explains to Buddy "it's like a secret code girls have"
"Well, look who it is" Jovie said as she came to them
"Hi, Jovie. Hi. Oh, uh, this is Michael" Buddy said
"I'm his brother" Michael said as he and Jovie shake hands
"Hi" Jovie said "hey Grace, good to see you"
"Good to see you too" Grace said
"So, what are you doing here? Did Gimbels give you your job back?" Jovie asked Buddy
"No. But things worked out pretty good" Buddy said "they gave me a restraining order"
"Well, um, you should probably get outta here" Jovie said
"But... I really wanted to see you, and... and I think you're beautiful, and I, um... I feel really warm when I am around you, And, um, my tongue swells up" Buddy said "so... Do you wanna go eat food?
"Do I... do I wanna eat food?" Jovie asked
"Mm-hmm, you know, uh, the code... food" Buddy said
"Well, I just had my lunch break" Jovie said
"Oh, okay. I understand" Buddy said
"But I'm free on Thursday" Jovie said
"Thursday! Thursday! Come on. That'd be great. All right" Buddy said in excitement as Michael and Grace drags him away before "was that okay?
"You did great, man" Michael said
"Yeah, you did great" Grace said
A while later, Buddy, Michael and Grace were back at the apartment and they were hoisting up an actual pine tree in the living room
"What should we put on it first?" Buddy asked
"Lights!" Michael said
"Oh, good. And then, after that?" Buddy asked
"Ornaments!" Grace said
"Ornaments, okay" Buddy said
"What the hell's that?" Walter asked after he entered the living room
"A Christmas tree" Michael and Grace said
"A Christmas tree?" Walter asked
"Buddy chopped it down in the park" Michael said
"Emily" Walter said as he went to the master bedroom
"How are we gonna get the star on top?" Grace thought
"I got it" Buddy said
Buddy grabs the star topper, steps back, ran to the couch, jumped on it, grabbed on the tree but the tree fell down along with Buddy
"Well that didn't work" Grace said
