"I'm just not in the mood right now, Chan," I said, putting my head on the table. "What do you mean you're not in the mood? You love putting up Christmas decorations," He asks, putting a small box of ornaments on the table. "This year, I'm not feeling Christmassy. I feel... indifferent. like there's no Christmas spark like every other year of my life." "Vic, I think that's normal. Maybe it's seasonal depression. Or it could be that the holidays can be stressful." Chan pats my head, making me sit up.

"I think it's the second one. But it's atrocious." He tilts his head, "How so?" "I only listen to Christmas music in the Car, I haven't even touched the TV to turn on a Christmas movie,  and I haven't even started to think of the theme we're gonna do for the tree yet. Don't even get me started on buying presents," I may have exaggerated it to him, but that's what it felt like. "Huh," Was all that came out of his mouth. Surprised, I looked up at him, 'What do you mean, huh? That's all you have to say?" He looks at me as if he's about to say something slick.

"I expected more, honestly," He chuckled. "Shut up." "What did I do wrong?" He asked oh so innocently. "Said some slick shit while I'm having a crisis. That's what you did wrong." Chan laughed, taking the box of decorations into the living room while I just stared at him. He pulled me out of the chair, "Tell you what. If you can figure out a theme for the Christmas tree, I'll kiss you." "Pfft,  you'll kiss me either way. You need to make a better deal." He chuckled, "Fine. I'll buy you that emerald ring you've been asking for." I gasped dramatically, "You mean the same 1.5-carat emerald cut & halo 74 diamond ring in silver?" He looked at me in disbelief, "How do you remember all that?" I chuckled, tapping his cheek, "Chan, you remember the music, and I remember the jewelry and clothing shit."

"Now, Leave me alone so I can start the Christmas tree."

 Time skip

"Ah, finally finished."

"I love it."

I chuckle, looking back at Chan, "Glad you think so. It only took 17 hundred hours," He chuckled, wrapping his arms around my waist. I wrap my arms around his neck, "Now about that ring..." "It's already bought. But you're not getting it till Christmas." Hearing his response, I sigh dramatically, "I spent millions of hours on this tree just for me to not get anything? I can't believe you used me for free labor." "Not exactly free. I did drop a bag on that ring you wanted." He said, poking my nose. "Whatever, you're putting up the lights on the ceiling. By yourself." "Fine. Only to make my baby happy," He smiled, leaning in for a quick peck. "Hey, That wasn't long enough." I pull him in for a long, passionate kiss. "That was way better than just a peck." I chuckled, "I know. You know why? Because I'm the best girlfriend/future wife in the world." "You are, and I'm glad my baby girl got out of her Christmas Crisis." "Somewhat, but me too."

This was honestly rushed and half-assed, but the fact that I wrote something was progress. I'll hopefully write more this month if my mind allows some sort of creativity to flow through. Happy holidays. ✌🏼
