Drew and Paisley's marriage has gotten more nasty but they weren't planning to divorce anytime soon and Paisley enrolled at the local community college in their hometown to get her degree because she had to drop out of college to help her family. Drew started acting again because he missed but he was still working with Kinsley again. She hasn't caused any problems because she changed and Drew thinks it's funny that Kinsley has matured over the years after everything happened. Gracie didn't end up marrying Sebastian because she missed Vinnie and they ended up remarrying without anyone knowing. Paisley was ready to forgive Drew but she knew things would get nastier for them if she forgave him and hadn't gone on any dates or been dating since they weren't together and the family dynamic was so bad to the point when the triplets came home for Christmas break and they want their parents to talk again but they can't force anything on them because it's their call.

"Dad," Ashlynn says

"Yes," he says

"Uhm I know it's your call but this is unhealthy with you and Mom because everything is so awkward in the house and y'all can't look at each other when you're in the same house but I'm glad you're back home and we know y'all are taking baby steps," she says

Drew got up from the couch and grabbed a beer in the kitchen.

"OMG Dad, you and Mom are acting like teenagers who fight and never forgive each other after a stupid fight," she says

"This is none of your concern Ashlynn," he says

"I might as well be the concern of your children because both of you need to grow the fuck up and talk it out like adults with common sense," she says

Paisley walks into the kitchen and walks by Drew to grab a snack from the cabinet.

"Damn!! I might as well be the parent too because it's like raising two kids who don't know how to grow up and mature over things. After all, they taught their eldest they can forgive people if it comes with consequences and we're kids that need their parents to work things out," she says walking out of the kitchen

"Hey, Paisley," Drew says

"Not talking to you," walking away from him

"OMG I'm not being the teenager in this situation, you've been selfish since I left 8 months ago but you don't want to own up to your mistakes as a mother, sister, and wife but I'm done having you act like I did something wrong because you're the parent in the wrong with her mental health issues, trust issues, and commitment issues, I'm done fighting with you and Ashlynn was right you're acting like a teenager who his mad at her boyfriend and doesn't talk to him," he says

"Fine if you want me to be an adult, let me tell you that you left for 8 months alone with 4 kids and had to raise without you and send 3 kids to college not talking to me while we were helping them move in. You just dropped everything on me and left me behind to clean up after you. I want to forgive you but I just can't yet," she says walking away

"But I forgive because you have every right as a parent to be mad at their child but you've a right to be mad at me," he says

Paisley went back and kissed Drew on the cheek.

"I'll be in the room if you need me and Drew I'm sorry," she says

Ashlynn was peeking from around the corner of the living room and she was happy to see her parents getting along again because she couldn't handle the awkwardness of them fighting but she had more up her sleeve.

The next morning it was Christmas and the family was happy, joy spreading around the room. The holidays were the Starkeys' favorite holiday and they love Christmas. They put everything up at the beginning of November and take it down after the new year.
