It was summer break and school had just ended

I walked out of the doors to see a bunch of people celebrating by throwing up they're papers cheering. My and Jeff made our way through the crowds as I bumped into Hannah

"Oh hey!" I yelled over the cheering "hey" she smiled "where are you guys going?" She asked "I don't know" I looked to Jeff "probably exploring town" I teased Jeff

"Fuck off" he pushed my face away "well I guess I'll see you two around" Hannah smiled before walking off into the crowd "bye!" I yelled out hoping she heard me.

Throughout summer break me and Hannah hardly talked hell she never even texted me

I thought she was mad at me until I bumped into her at the mall

"Oh, hey" she looked surprised to see me "hey" I smiled. We stood there in an awkward silence "so" I trailed off "how have you've been?" I asked

"I've been good" she gave a small smile nodding "I mean, sounds like it" I nodded "what do you mean?" She looked confused

"Well I haven't got a text, so I just assumed you were just living it up" i said with a fake smile "yeah I was" she nodded "see you around" she said now looking at me

"Maybe" I nodded walking away.

Throughout the summer me and Jeff hung out almost everyday

We were practically attached at the hip having spend only about 6 hours away from each other some days

Since me and Jeff hung out almost everyday which caused both our families to become closer

Hell we even started taking turns having dinner at one of our houses

I loved going to Jeff's but I always got teased by his parents and mine.

"Hey we got an invite to Jessica's party" I patted Jeff's shoulder "yeah I just got a text too" he nodded "are we gonna go?" "Yeah I'll invite clay too" he smiled

"Oh yeah! Maybe Hannah will be there" I smiled "text her" he nudged my hand "oh" I looked down at my phone

"What?" He asked concerned "we haven't texted in awhile" I shrugged "oh" he nodded then smiled "which is why you should text her" I just tilted my head

"What If she ignores me, I mean, she hasn't made much of an effort to answer or retro my text or calls" I shrugged frowning "like you said, Hannah's going through something but she needs a friend with her" he smiled

"Ugh, I hate how perfect you are" I groaned smiling "I'm not perfect but I try" I smiled kissing me "call her" he whispered against my lips "okay" I nodded

I failed her number and waited "hello?" She answered "hey!" I smiled "are you gonna go to Jessica's party?" I asked "I don't know" she sighed
