Silence prevailed until, a strong and old voice boomed, "What the hell do they want?"
"They said that there are some documents which need to be signed. And this time instead of bringing those documents here I want to go back to India. It's been 5 years and now I think there are people who need to see me and people who need to face me. I want to meet 'Nanu' also he has been wanting me to live with him for atleast a few days and to officially handover the business to me. And an important thing is that I am gonna permanently shift to our country so I will continue my studies there only. And to be very clear you people are not going with me. And I don't want to hear any discussion on this topic. " I said in a no nonsense tone.
"And do you think little girl that you will be allowed to do whatever you want. Either take us with you or there is no need to go back. " Dadu said.
"You need to understand dadu I don't have the energy left in me to loose another important person of my life. Papa's condition isn't hidden from us and please you know that nanu won't let anything happen to me." I said trying to convince him politely. "And you know I don't trust that idiot." He whined.
Despite the tense atmosphere of the Hall I and Radha mom chuckled. Though it instantly subsided when we both recieved a glare from him.
"And I know that you trust him more than yourself. So just stop showing tantrums papa, aakhir kab tak hum use rokenge! She needs to go papa, she needs to face the ones who wronged her." This time it was Radha mom trying to convince him. (Till when are you planning to stop her)
He sighed, "Ok, you can go. But please promise me that you will come back to us or we will come to you to see you fit and fine or atleast-," he exhaled deeply, reaching out his hands to hold mine" atleast alive." His voice becoming low almost inaudible.
This was the part I dreaded, I slowly slipped my hands out of his hold and a tear drop escaped his eyes. "I-i can't dadu, you know I can't. Please don't make me promise something which I won't be able to fulfill." And though no drops fell down my eyes yet my voice grew heavy.
I stood up from the couch, "I am leaving day after tomorrow", saying this I left the living room and headed towards my room. My mind dizzy, my heart crying, but no tears escaped my eyes. Why would they, after all I am habitual to it.
