Devyn pov "Devyn breathe" I heard a familiar voice say, it was Jay, I never thought I say it but his company helped
"Focus on your breathing right now okay" and I started breathing in and out following his breathing patterns
"T-thank you" I managed to get out still trying to focus on my breathing wiping my tears
"Anytime Dev, you okay? What happened?" He asked looking concerned "school, I just don't wanna be here" I said truthfully
"Well moms coming to pick you up okay sis" Melik told me with his hand on my shoulder, there was a ton of worry on his face
I nodded and got my things from off the ground
I felt embarrassed, everyone was around me at the moment
Going to my locker I put all my belongings in my book bag
"Yo Dev!" I heard someone call out, it was Jordan and Jk
"Yes?" I said zipping my bag "ay, I heard what happened earlier are you okay?" He asked looking worried "yes, I'm fine, I don't know what happened, I think I'm just overwhelmed, my moms coming to get me tho" he nodded understanding what I was saying
My eyes shifted to jk and he was looking down at his phone
"Ight man don't scare me like that again Ight?" He said with a light smile and I nodded smiling and hugged him before walking away
"Bye Jordan by kook" I said before walking away,then my eyes widened when I realized I called him kook

JK POV why did I agree to come with him to check up on her, I mean yea I wanted to see if she was alright but it's HER "please just come with me, I know you don't really like her or anything but it would be considerate to see if she's okay" Jordan said to me after I denied coming with him
She made me nervous, but angry at the same time, it's like every time I try to warm up to her that event just plays in my head. Why was I such a joke to her.
"Ight man but I'm not talking to her" I said before reentering the school building

"Yes?" She responded softly, that's what I liked about her, her voice was so soft and calm I felt like she could talk to me about anything and I would just sit and listen just because it's her voice

Not even opening an app just staring at my calculator "Ay I heard what happened earlier today, are you okay?" I heard Jordan ask, I should've asked that I'm the one who was most worried "yes, I'm fine, I don't know what happened, I think I'm just overwhelmed, my moms coming to get me tho" I heard her say
'Understandable' I thought to myself
I felt eyes on me, and I didn't wanna look up to see if it was her because then I'd get either nervous or angry all over again
She didn't deserve this kind of treatment
But neither did I. "Ight man don't scare me like that again" I heard Jordan say wrapping up the conversation and I took quick glance up and saw her smiling at him
Her smile was so so sooo beautiful, it could light up rooms and it made my heart do a backflip
Then I realized she wasn't smiling at me, she was smiling at Jordan
That made me a little upset, like he can get a smile and I can't?!- they just hugged
My thoughts got cut off by my own, I felt angry that they hugged
But then again what right do I have to be angry
But then again why are you two hugging
I didn't know who to be mad at
"Bye Jordan bye kook" I heard her say before walking away
'Kook?' She said my name- well my nickname- the one I don't let anyone call me- but I didn't feel Like correcting her
