We head towards the center
"So... you were inside this?" I ask Sakuya while looking at the giant metal sphere
"Yes, and I will absorb my power back..." Sakuya answers
"Do you think there will be any negative side effects?"
"Rex will be stronger... much stronger but so will we...."
I touch the metal sphere...
"Are you able to get close enough to absorb it?" I ask
"Yes, it is my power after all." Sakuya answered
I look around the sphere... looking for a hatch or door of some kind
Found one... I open it
The insides are covered in charred ash...
I look up...
"There's the pit of ash...." I said talking to myself out loud
Sakuya steps into the sphere
They reach upwards...
Suddenly... the ball of light formed a stream of light towards Sakuya's hand
Rex enters behind me
"You're really doing this?" Rex said
he's ignoring me-
"Yes." Sakuya responded
"Heh, alright, I guess we will be fighting at our full strength... unless you're going to have... her... fight for you" Rex said... referring to me
"She will likely be fighting, and I'll accompany her." Sakuya said
"... guess I'll be seeing you on the ground." He pokes me
"I won't go down so easily... I'll make you don't win" I say
He walks away
I curiously follow him
He stops in front of the shrine?
"What are you doing?" I ask
"A ritual." He replied
"A ritual for what?"
"Reviving the temple to its former glory"
Sakuya walks to my side
"Done already?" I ask Sakuya
"Yes, be careful using power, might be a lot stronger than you are used to" She replied
"Also, what did you mean... reviving the temple?" I ask Rex
"He means.... putting it back in the sky..." Sakuya answered for him
"Wait... the town above..." I commented
"They will fall off, the ceiling of this temple will push all that is on top off." Rex said
"Sakuya, get the team to evacuate the town" I told Sakuya
"Alright" She replied
I make a sword appear... it's glowing gold now
"I can't let you do this!" I say trying to prevent the vision from coming true
"By the glory of the gods, take the souls I have harvested in exchange for bringing our temple's life back" Rex says on his knees with his scythe appearing in his hands
I try to charge at him... but the ritual was complete...
Seeing the hundreds of souls leave his scythe... it had me paralyzed in shock..
The souls entered the shrine... and the temple shook...
It starts to rise... the pit of ash is sealed
The ceiling splits apart...
The sound of sand sliding off the roof was so loud...
I fell over because I couldn't my balance with the movement... it's like an earthquake
"Heh, I've already won, Cosmo, you stand no chance against me" Rex said
The sound of buildings hitting the ground... it angered me
I get back on my feet... point my sword at Rex
"You will receive no mercy from me... you have hurt too many innocents to forgive..." I tell Rex
"Hah, your words mean nothing, you are nothing without my sister" Rex responds
"And I wouldn't be here without her" Sakuya states
"Do you really want to do this? I don't want to hurt you sister... but... if you give me no choice, I'll have to go through you... and I'll give you a quick death." Rex says
"I cannot standby as you try to kill all life..." Sakuya replies
"I'm not killing all life, just restarting it... purging the evil" he responds
"You can't have the good without the evil, your efforts will be fruitless in the end." I remark
He glances at me with nothing but hostility
Rex points his scythe at me
"Cosmo, tonight is the last day you will ever see... and you won't have a quick death... I'll make sure it will be the WORST pain you'll ever experience..." Rex threatens me
"try me." I reply
