Okay yeah, Author here guys. This chapter isn't really related to the story but mostly just a ranting chapter to anyone who comes across this
..But my random question is about most RWBY fanfics are..
Why is most of it "Male Abused and Neglected Reader" fics? Don't get me wrong, there are some good ones but most of them are copy and paste
For one, its ALWAYS The Rose/Xiao Long Family. Like I don't get it. Why that family specifically? I get its a fanfiction but I like fanfictions that somewhat are loyal or close to the actual characters personality in the show and the family is somewhat a nice and good family
In every one of those fanfictions, Ruby who's like supposed to be the nicest girl ever is being portrayed as a Menace to Society with the psychopathic tendencies
And Yang who's somewhat Laid-back and playful (unless you piss her off) is being portrayed as a nightmare along with Summer, Tai, and Qrow
Just let me remind that the Schnee Family exists and Jacques is an actual abusive and neglectful jackass and the fact most of the family have been neglected and manipulated
And also, most of the fics follows the same trope. Runs Away after Years of Abuse. Family regrets and wants to find MC to apologize. MC becomes a OP Edgelord who solos all. Gets a Harem to screw with. Revenge.
Like I said before, Jacques Schnee is a character and has all the qualities you are looking for if you want to make a Male Abused and Neglected Reader Book
He's Manipulative, He's selfish, he'll do anything to achieve his goals and even go far to use his own family and children, Petty, Arrogant, Vindictive, Power Hungry—You all get the point.
